Why must people be so sick as to hurt a child like this.

I was reading the news online and came across this article about a poor 9 year old little girl that was ran to death by her step mom and her grandmother, and all because she ate a candy bar. I have to ask what is so wrong in our world that running a child for 3 hours would be an acceptable form of punishment? I used to think I had it so bad when my dad would spank me but, I would gladly take a spanking any day rather than being forced to run for 3 hours and then to die. Its a sad day in our world when things like this are allowed to happen. Children need to be protected not abused and beaten to death. Such a shame that a life would be cast aside like a piece of trash. And to think that this is happening right under our noses and no one does a thing to stop it.

This is really sad! I can't believe that someone would be so horrible as to do such a thing. I just can't understand this as a form of punishment. We're talking about a child, for crying out loud! It makes me really mad, when I hear about these sorts of things.

I just dont understand what would make a person do that. To me a child is our most precious resource. They are our future and should be protected at all cost. With out our children we have no future. I cant even imagine hurting an adult like this let alone a child. It just makes me pull my children in closer and be thankful that I have them. It makes me take a moment out of my day to watch my child sleep and be thankful I have a child to watch sleep. When I am pushed to my limit I just think of what a boring life I would lead if I did not have my children in it. It takes all my self control to not go out and find these people and make them pay for what they have done. Such a sad world we live in when a life has no value especially the life of a child. I dont think that mad is the appropiate word for how I feel as I said I would love to make these people that feel its ok to harm a child pay with the same type of punishment as they saw fit to dole out.

Is really the fact that I would not be surprised that something like this would happen really understand the current state of the world? Obviously, we all know this is a horrific, horrific thing to do to a child. Over such a stupid thing as well. If they are going to do something like that over eating a candy bar, I would hate to see what the punishment would be for something that was really serious. Actually I don't want to think about that, because its not a good place to be mentally.
You know if you do something that puts the child in peril, it stops being punishment and goes right into the level of abuse. Which one can agree is all wrong. And as I've said before, for every thing like this that we hear about in the news, there are about three or four more that just are not simply getting reported in any way whatsoever. Still it just turns your stomach. Really horrifying but when things like this happens, all of the horror but none of the shock remains. Sick people out there.

this is so sad. i dont understand what is so wrong eating candy bars as normally all kids want it. and if she lied about eating it, running for 3 hours is too much for punishment. i hope this kind of people did not become parents at all, they dont deserve a child.
