people who talk a lot often knows nothing

Hello, I admit that i am a talkative person but i shut my mouth when i dont know it. Honestly, i agree to you because those people are just hidding the real thing behind them to prove something even they even dont know what they are talking about. I just talk if i know something but i also do keep talking especially if i have an idea.

There is a saying 'empty vessels make the most sound'.If you strike a vessel which is empty it makes a loud ringing sound but when it is full then there is a soft sound.Similarly those who like to hear the sound of their own voices and keep talking constantly usually are 'empty vessels',ie in their case it is all smoke and no fire.such people are self opinionated and pompous and get rattled and angry if somebody disagrees with them.It is better to keep oneself away from such persons because they are big bores.

some people are like that. it is common for people to talk about what they know. and at times, they push themselves too far to appear smart and intelligent. little knowledge is dangerous as it is said. usually, experts say less because they are careful of their words to be used against them.

i will agree with you. its like a river, when it is noisy the water is just shallow. noisy people who acts he/she knows everything is a shallow person who doesn't know anything but to talk and talk.

I don't talk much in person and I admit that I don't know everything. In fact, I believe that nobody does know everything. Though I know what you mean about people who pretend to know everything. I have an officemate before whom I secretly labeled "Ms. Know-it-all".
