Reasons Why You Should Not Buy Samsung Galaxy Y

I got my Samsung Galaxy Y from a postpaid plan of one of the networks here in my country and as soon as I had my hands on the phone, I regret signing the 2-year contract of that postpaid plan. Why? Here are the reasons: 1. I ALWAYS experience this: "SD card unexpectedly removed". I do not know if the memory card is lose or what but it "comes off" every effin minute. 2. Light flashes a few times after screen lock 3. Lags a lot when I am playing 4. Sometimes the SD card would not detect my apps 5. I cannot update it on Kies because the computer cannot detect my phone 6. Sometimes the screen just hangs because of nothing Two years of putting up with this phone would be so much of a pain for me. Are there members here who uses Samsung Galaxy Y? Can you tell me your experience?

Maybe you can get Samsung Galaxy Wonder; I bought it 2 months ago, and I find it pretty good, the outlook and internal features as well; and also the price is reasonable.

No worries my fellow Mylotter. :) Yes, save up a little more so you can buy a better phone. I would suggest you Motorola Defy. My girlfriend uses that phone and it is so awesome. First, it has many customized roms available so you can pimp your user interface. Second, it is shock proof. We tried throwing it a few yards and good lord as if nothing happens. And lastly, it is waterproof! We went swimming one time and we used that to captured videos underwater. So cool. :)

I am sorry to hear about your experience regarding Galaxy Y. I also got the same phone when I renewed my contract to my phone network. I didn't get the same experience you got but I can say I am not a fan of Galaxy Y either. I find the screen too small for me and the keys too. I am having a hard time typing words (probably because I got big fingers too..hahaha). Aside from that i don't like the screen, I find it too sensitive.

My sister in law had availed of this plan too. At first she was at a lost on how to operate the phone because of the screen's sensitivity. It took her a week before she had manage to use it with ease. Aside from that, there is no problem she had encountered using her phone.

I'm sorry to hear that experiences of yours. My cousin's boyfriend and my friend also availed that kind of postpaid plan, exactly like yours. They never complained about the phone. It might be because my cousin's boyfriend is a Technology Savvy, so he know how to handle that kind of service. I'm sorry to say this but, The post-paid plan that you availed is still or might be under their warranty. You can just go to the nearest center where you got it so that they can help you with that. You can still replace the mobile unit if it is still within 7 days. And by the way, Have you installed the installer before you connect your phone into the computer?

That was the problem. I got this last December, unfortunately, the day after I registered for a plan, my family went to our province for a short Christmas vacation. Thus I was not able to avail of the 7-day replacement warranty. :( Anyway, I guess I have no choice but to wait and endure this for two years and try my best to look for a solution for this on the internet.

I also have friends who had Samsung Galaxy Y and they got it from a postpaid plan. They do not have any problems with their phone. I also use it sometimes, and I find it okay. I guess your phones needs to be checked, maybe there has a warranty or something.

I guess my bad luck is the reason why I am the only one who experiences these issues with my Samsung Galaxy Y. :D Well anyway, I'll keep rummaging every techno part of the internet in the hope of finding a solution for this. Thank you for responding to my discussion. :)
