like forreal you guys I am thinking about giving up. My professors just keep loading me with work, I got 25 more credits to complete before I can graduate but I feel like its just not coming soon enough. I need some motivation. I know most of you would say me graduating after 25 credits (which would be in december, if financially aid works out for summer school) should be my motivation, but i guess im just worried that my financial aid wont cover for the summer to be able afford to even go to summer school, in order to later finish in the fall of 2012. any advice anyone??

I'm a student myself and I always feel like that when there's a lot of work to do. I keep wondering what the hell I'm doing here and if it wouldn't be easier to just search for a job and start working full-time... But the thing is, I chose my major because I want to work in that field, not some random low-paying job. You chose the major you're doing for a reason as well, whether it's interest or because you can make a lot of money. So seriously, if there are only 25 credits left, just try doing them. Otherwise you'll end up beating yourself up because of it in a few years. Either because you're making only half of what you should be making or because you could've done something interesting with your life instead of the boring low-paying job.

your right cranos, and I know and think about all of this. I kinda want to just get out of here too. lol I am already staying an extra semester than scheduled. I just hope that my financial aid will work out for the summer so I can attend summer school. But you are right...I just need to focus and stick it out. My professors are just getting on my last.

I know your pain. I failed my first year. I had to redo it completely so I'm here an extra year as well. I'm just making the most of it, you know? Living college life to the fullest because it won't last long anymore. Trying to focus on the fun points of being a student.

First of all, I would advise taking a step back and taking a nice deep breath. It does seem to be a horrific load, but no one said that education at that level would be easy. Granted, no one says that, but that certainly doesn't stop you from pulling your hair out more often than not, as I have had many times right in my life when dealing with work.
One assignment at a time, one class at a time. Do not think too much beyond what you have to do now, as it will cause you to be frustrated and thus neglect what has to be done for your success. If financial aid covers you, then it will, but if it won't, then that is a bridge that you're going to have cross. Just one step at a time, so you do not get crushed under the weight. Figure out what you need to do and do it, bit by bit until completed.

If you think about it, you will have been in education for the best part of your entire life. If you start to think about how long your life has seemed so far, it will help you to understand how little more you have to work before you never have to worry about education again. I am in the same position and graduate this July, and it is very difficult to have that last push before I get my qualifications. In fact, a friend of mine has just dropped out, and I feel sorry for her because she obviously just didn't have enough motivation to get her through these final stages.

I understand how you feel and I'm sorry that you're having a hard time. I would encourage you not to give up because you will regret it later. I wish I could go back to school but I can't afford it and I don't have my degree and that makes it more difficult with jobs especially in this economy. I don't know if your financial aid will work out for the summer or not, but you should try to go as much as you can. You can take out a loan to pay if necessary though you'll have to pay it back. I ended up taking out a loan but financial aid is better since you don't have to pay it back. Just do the best you can and work hard and make time for yourself and talk to your professors and keep in contact with your support system including us here. I wish you all the best and I know it's stressful and hard but it's worth it to finish as long as you can.

Hi smooty! I definitely understand your dilemma. I was once a student and I felt the same way as you do now. All I could share to you is that never to give up. Education is such a very important qualification in having and landing a good and high paying job. If your target is to graduate this end of 2012 then focus on your studies. Strive harder and pass all your credits so that you can reach your goal which is marching this year. Regarding financial aid, you can ask for your parents, that's their role anyway, but if they can't afford, then there are many scholarship granted by the university you are with, such as but not limited to working scholar, academic scholar, university scholar, government scholar, varsity scholar and the like. Remember, don't be discourage, rather, PRAY and STRIVE HARD to excel. God bless to your endeavors! Hope this would be of help to you.
