Left my job last December and I have been unemployed for a couple of months. Now funds are dwindling and I need to find a job soon. So why in the world did she leave her job you might think.... wasn't so simple then got really sick and needed to stay in bed and rest. it feels like i'm hitting rock bottom again as funds are dwindling and I'm a few days behind paying my rent. hubby is having a hard time balancing our finances as I am the one who earns higher than he does. my unemployment hits our finances really bad. So here I am with many stuff in my mind. I am thinking of finding an online job while staying home however we all know some jobs online can barely pay the bill and some can contribute depending on what you do. so rock bottom huh...well come to think of it if you were on top then you can't climb any further or you'll hit the ground but when you're on the ground the only way is UP! so here I am hanging on hope because it is all i got.... so how bout you ever felt the same way before? ever hit rock bottom too? what did you do?

i'm closer to that situation already. i wanted to quit my job because i got tired of all the crab people here in our company. i am thinking also of having an online job to just stay at home take care of my son but then i think twice. i need to sacrifice to be able not to be short in finances because i'm considering how we can pay our house monthly amortization, my son's needs, our food and so on. though my husband is also working, i don't think that will be enough for us. in your case you choose to quit because of health reasons and that is reasonable. you can find online jobs that will help you pay some of your expenses but you need the skills. if you can have a home based work better. just pray hard and i know God will be there for you. there is a reason why you have to quit your job and test you financially. do not worry much because God will do what you can't do. i am in avery difficult situation also that i am praying hard will pass and i believe like situation i'm into, THIS TOO SHALL PASS.

thanks for the encouragement friend. home based jobs really need skills and most of them require skills that i do not posses like graphic design etc... they are the ones that pays good. but still i keep on looking and bidding on projects that i know will help and that i am capable of doing.

Hi Candy, I can't say that I ever had a problem with being out of work. If I wanted a better one I found it then left where I was. during my work career I had a total of four full time jobs, several part time that I worked at same time as I held the full time. But was never out of work long enough to fulfill the requirements to draw unemployment benefits. Until 2003 and I had to leave work due to illness but again I had disability insurance to offset my not having an income. I'm sure that some thing will come along soon that will end your worry and stress.

lets hope that all the stress and problems will soon end. Maybe she can probably consider finding some work online. Might not be what she is looking for but it is something to start on. But yes, I am sure that she will get back on her feet soon!

I had to try to use online earnings several times to make it but I couldn't Not with someone nor by myself. I've got a job now and they aren't giving me many hours. I've got a choice to make but I'm not sure if it's the right one or not, so I'm just confused. I want what I can't have right away, so I need patience. I hope you can find means to earn more, whether it be online or off. With the changing of seaosns, more opportunities will arise surely. Just dont' give up, like you say the only way now is up!

Your right and that is the attitude to have. When you down the only place to go is up. I have been on the bottom before too and I have found that there is usually a nice surprise around the corner. One door closes but another one opens kind of thing. I wish you the best of luck.

Hiya candy, Are you better now then? Hope you are fully recovered from your being sick too. It can get to the situation where you have to leave a Job if you feel so bad. I pulled a Leg Muscle when I had just had my eldest Son and I had to stay in Bed with a lot of Injections for the inflamation and also I had to give up my Job that I had then as I could not put my foot properly on the Floor without seeing Stars. The only way is up you are right about that donĀ“t think about if you can fall again just get up if you can and go if you can and if not get to where you can get to and take it from there. Maybe you will find a Job that will suit you better. I was having to lift really heavy Beds then climb many flights of Stairs without a Lift so when I look back on that I can thank God that he took me out of there on purpose although I was not very happy about it at the time. I tried always to recover which I did but I was left with the Injury and the Injections I stopped them because they made me too sleepy. Have you found a Job again and in any case if you have not you will be on your way to feeling much much better and better prepared the next time round. Lots of luck to you candy.xxx

I had to quit my job too, and even though I'm in a bad financial situation, I don't regret it. I felt I go crazy, and I got very sick. I think I know what it's like and I feel for you. Still looking for a new job. People keep telling me that I have to accept whatever job I find, but the things that happened to me made my a bit picky - I already did what they told me and I see where I got. I hope you find a job that you like and hope you get better soon!

We've ended up going into debt because we were underemployed or one of us was unemployed. We just had to keep trying and fortunately it worked out that once my husband finished school, he was able to get a good paying job. That meant that my okay paying job was no longer the only thing keeping us afloat. If you're sick, there isn't much you can do about that. You just have to keep in mind that your health is the important thing and hopefully you can find some online work or other work from home that will allow you to get better and still make enough to make ends meet.

Well, I guess coming back to the 'Lot is a start. Keep on posting, maybe do a few tasks, and before you know it you'll have $10. Not much, but better than a kick in the pants. Good luck.

I consider my situation right now as underground, meaning below rock bottom. I'm still hoping for a little ray of light, that tiny glimpse of hope for me to get back up.

Yep feel that way plenty and more often than I'd like to. We've refinanced, I got a part time job, we went to the food pantry when we needed to... depending on what it will take for your to bounce back just a job? reducing your debts?

I agree that online jobs most of the time aren't enough to pay your bills or rent but if you do a few things together than you might make some extra money to help you out. You can sign up for a few survey sites online depending on which country you live. I have joined some and I make a little extra on the side with these depending on how many surveys you receive and qualify for...Godd luck with everything and don't give up hope....

Not really, though I constantly have to struggle with part-time jobs and my studies. College is really expensive and it seems like I'm always broke even though I work almost every night at a bar and fix computers on Saturday. Aside from that I also need enough time to study... Of course it's not nearly as bad as your situation, but I just do what I can and have to. Even though I don't like it and it stresses me out.
