earning online a hobby or a need?

Its more than a hobby, especially for me. The sum that I earn online will be maybe enough to buy one or two coffee every month. You cannot live with that :) So I mean most of people make money online just for a hobby. Rare are those who live from that money.

Both. I'm just doing to make extra cash. Though I could manage without it, it helps sometimes. I'm sitting at least 8 to 10 hours before the PC. And I find little free time among my business. So, just to use my free time for extra cash I'm trying to earn online. There are places where I spend time online just for hobbies too. They don't have earning option. But, when I get bored of these extra cash things, I visit those sites and spend some time.

Hi Gnan, as for me at first i thought of earning online as a hobby, since i like to chat with friends from around the world. Since i came across Mylot and found that it is paying for my participating, so i decide to earn as much as i can through it and other sites. Now, i make it as part of my part time earnings, since i don't have a full-time job yet. I hope to be able to earn more through online when i can have more time to online. Wish everyone of us able to earn well through online.

I never once thought of my online earning ventures as a hobby. I guess the state of economy in my country has caught up with me too. It seems that everything is getting expensive including tuition fees of my son. So each cent I earn legally is a big help, and I'm just glad that even the small amount I get online has helped pay for some of our utility bills.

i'm here(online) to earn extra income and savings. cause even though both(partners) are working still life is not easy everything is expensive. and in my case that i have a child really need to prepare for his(son) future... :)

Hobby. I save everything up and use it at the winter holidays for gifts and what not. I have come to depend on this money for the holidays though.

Hello gnansekhar, Its more a hobby than a necessity for me as i am not dependent on online earnings as i have a regular offline job to take care of my needs.I know people do earn better from online sites and are dependent on the earnings they get from here.Online earning is really a better way to earn as one can do it sitting at home but the only thing is he/she should know how to earn from these sites.

it depends on the financial situation of peoples.sometimes it is just for hobby and sometimes it is for need.but in case it is need because i am student and i spent many hours in the world internet.so one day i decided that i should make some money by the internet and start searching for some legit sites and after some searches i found many sites who actually pays me for my writing.and i also wanted money in my life because i have no source of income.

i have not job,i am here for money and hobby.

If earning a few cents using My Lot is for my daily needs, I would starve and be homeless, so , no, it's not to make a living, that's for sure but I'm having fun and it's nice to know that I can make a little for my efforts, here on MY LOT!

i want to earn money however, i consider it a a hobby. Hobby because i'm only online during my free thme. I want earn because i want to have money. Haha. . . I want to earn to buy my needs and to have extra cash and savings.

I would rather say I its a combination of both as of now. Since I am a student, I am trying to earn something out of these sites even though there is no financial constraint. Also i would say its a hobby because once i get busy, I wont be able to dedicate so much time on this as I am dedicating time now.

personally, the time I spend in this kind of websites is not aimed to make a living. although im young and i cant spend so much time here, i dont see how it is possible to make a fortune hrough writing here. I enjoy writing here (and its also improve my english), and the few cents are a nice bonus:)

i think earning money was based on my curiosity is it true we can get money from internet?? and i do it and prove my curiosity now i think earning money can give some money for me, even its not much like my offline earning

hi friend it is both .it is my hobby and a good way for me to earn money .now i am completely follow this hobby and now online earning is become a important part of my life then you can call it any thing my hobby or my my need .

To me, earning online is no doubt a hobby but it gives pleasure when you earn something at the same time. But as I have noticed from discussions of other mylotters that it is also a need to some of them.

I began working online only on my brother's insistence. At that time it was neither my hobby nor my need. I started blogging only because my brother wanted me to do something. Gradually I developed interest in it and after that I began seeking for websites through which I could earn money. Actually I enjoy earning my own money. Now earning online is not only my hobby but also it's my need. What about you do you earn online for your hobby or your need?

For now, it's only a hobby. Although I am really grateful that I can use some of my online earning for some of my daily needs. But I wish I can earn more from online passively and/or get a better offline job in the future..

I suppose for me this is a hybrid kind of think, I kind of need money, but not so essential, and I mainly use this for a hobby until I see whether it will give some money... If it gives enough money for me to be satisfied with I will probably up my usage of this, if not, I will just continue at current rate.
