Family Reunion

I've been thinking that since my family is always too busy working to get together coupled with the fact that we are all just far enough apart to not be able to get together as often as I would like that I am thinking about planning a family reunion. I would cook all the food and could have them bring something if they wanted but it wouldn't be necessary, I am just wondering how much that would be on me to make the invites, send them out and plan everything. Should I ask for help? or would that be wrong of me? I'm thinking it's a good idea and I would like to be able to do it all myself and let everyone else just relax and have fun seeing family members, just not so sure I can do it, I have quite a few relatives now that I really think about it but I would love to give it a shot. Thoughts?

I think that family reunions are wonderful, and all that most families need is somebody who is willing to take care of everything and organise it, and it would seem as though you are that person in your family. Often, just having somewhere to go is the hardest thing. I like to hire a hotel for my family where we can stay a couple of nights in a room and be able to eat in the restaurant below the rooms and do other things in the city during the day times. Everyone goes off in smaller groups and gets to know each other better, which is just lovely.
