Yaso, I don't like this. I think there is no better replacement for Dhoni in Tests and ODI. We should not forget " Dhoni's team is ranked as No. 1 test team for more than a year". So I personally don't like this move.
Yet Kohli is replacement to lead Indian T20 team.

I don't agree with you dharanil, since India get No.1 Position due to ganguly, dravid and kumble captainship. Dhoni's contribution to get No.1 Test rank is very minimum comparing to other previous captains. Luckily for him he got good team with form players. But India's No.1 P test position few months back is all because of kumble and dravid captainship.
Dhoni had poor test captain record.

It's the Welcome News for the Indian team. It's reduce the tension of Our Cool caption Dhoni in the recent days of cricket lot's of frustration thoughts for his captionship. It's also Good for our team to cheer with 3leaders in 3different face matches. Young caption in t20 is really Good. Because kozhi is already a under 19world cup winning caption it's such pretty Good to here. Nice if it's done.

kasiviswanathan - welcome to mylot. This is a good move, I think so. this will reduce the tension on the captain-- each captain can concentrate and prefessionalise in that type of game.

I don't think Dhoni should be replaced by anyone in any form of cricket at this time. Remember he is the only man in world cricket to lead a team successfully and win a 20 over world cup, a 50 over world cup and lead a side to No.1 in test matches. When India was No.1 in test, no one for nearly 2 years, no one was talking about replacing Dhoni as captain. Same goes when he won the T20 world cup and its an inaugural one. I think he's still the best captain and a matured head to lead India to all forms of cricket.

I think it will be a great move if it is finally executed. Dhoni himself is wishing to quit test. So in this situation it will be better if a different captain is selected for the test.
If a different captain is selected for T20 it will help a lot to find the next captain for team India.
Australia had also appointed clarke as captain for T20 first and then gradually he has improved himself and finally now he is captain for main format.
So over all I think it is a great thinking by BCCI.

I also think it is good to have three different captains in the three format. I am hoping to have three different team for three format. I think Indian players some guys who play a lot of cricket. If they play three different team, I think this will prevent players from getting injured and also helps to reduce the burnout syndrome.
