It just occurred to me when I was watching the movie etitled "Leap Year" knowing that it only happens once every four years, then i thought what if one's birthday falls on the 29th of February? Would they wait for another four years just to celebreate their birthday or would they rather celebrate it on the 28th of February or the 1st day of March or both? I think think it would be quite confusing for some people who have their brithdays on the 29th of February and i think sometimes its quite unavoidable for them to be born on that date. I think as much as possible parents wouldn't want their child's birthday to fall on the 29th of February because it would be quite confusing on when their birthdays should be celebrated. I think it would be quite sad if you would only be celebrating your birthday once every four years, so i guess people have their own ways on how they celebrate their birthday when it only comes once every four years. What can you say about this? Do also you know of anyone who have their birtdays on every 29th of February? If you had your birthday on the 29th of February when would you celebreate it if it not a leap year? Thanks for sharing guys.

People who is born on 29th Feb. should add one year over their age every four years since they can only celebrate birthday once every four years. It is kind of suck for them as far as birthday celebration is concerned, but in return, they get to grow a year older only after every four years had passed, they shouldn't be feeling too sad over their birthday after all, there is still something to be happy about for those who are born on 29th Feb. to compensate for that birthday stuff.

That's sad news to teens since most of them are in a hurry to grow up.

I have a discussion on this 29th february, some prefer to celebrate on 29th itself but many enjoy one day earlier or one day later. Best of luck. Professor

February 29th is an oddity of a day for sure and I can really just imagine being born on that day. Then again, technically people would have to age a year. That day does happen, on some bridge between February 28th and March 1st that is not accessible other than every four years. So really, there are just going to be quite the puzzler to how to celebrate that particular birthday. I suppose on either the day before or the day after would worth, as 365 days still technically past. Then again, the purpose of leap year defied reason for me a lot of the time. The added day, really a day is not that much time anymore. Not much really changes. Other than those who just happened to be born right on that day. Talk about being an oddity of the world. Of course I do kind of feel sorry for those who celebrate their birthday on that day, because it is just something that is really weird to say the very least.

My birthday is not on the 29th February but other day at February ^_^. If you think about it, it is a little confusing to decide which when to celebrate someone's birthday when his/her birthday is on the 29th February. But i think normaly it is better to celebrate it at 1st March because at 28th February is too soon and also no one want to get older sooner right. Because if my birthday's at 29th February too, i will do the same. ^_^

If I was born on February 29, I will celebrate my birthday the day before it. It doesn't matter even if I can only celebrate my real birthday every four years. Well, I can't really say that I will be comfortable with it if ever as some friends will surely tease me. I know some mothers doesn't want to give birth in that day of the month. They will be thinking about how their child will celebrate it. Well, If you don't really want to spend money during birthdays, then being born in this day of the month will sure save you $$$. :)

If you only aged a year for every four that passed, it might be quite cool. Or depressing. One or the other.

I don't really celebrate a birthday on Feb. 29. I don't know anyone either that was born on a Leap Year and has a birthday on Feb. 29. It would be really confusing for me, if I was born on that day. I guess I would have to celebrate a birthday on Mar. 1 since it wouldn't make sense to have one on Feb. 28 because I wouldn't be born yet. As long as you get to celebrate a birthday with friends and family, it doesn't matter what day you celebrate it on.

Yes - I have a friend who has a Leap Year birthday! I don't really know how it affected her as a kid, but she sure makes fun of it as an adult! She often jokes that she will have her Sweet Sixteen party when she turns 64 - hee hee!!

If you want to talk about confusing.... I know a set of twins that the older of the two by about 15 minutes was born on the leap year Feb. 29 and the other (the younger one) was born on March 1. Yet the one is only turing 7 this year and the other is turning 28. Talk about weird.

People born on 29 feb, die young:)) They rarely reach 20 years, and almost impossible to get to 30. But I think that this makes them special. Imagine, you look 40 and have only 10:))

I know someone who's birthday falls down on that exact date. He's 25 now and like a normal person who celebrates his birthday every year he does too usually he does it on March 1. Well to him it doesn't matter though if it falls to the leap year or not. He's just so thankful of the every year God has given him and just makes the most of it. To think it's not even an issue for him that his birthday falls on such date as long as his living his life and enjoying it every year God has given him.

As a mom of three kids with one more on the way, I can say that I certainly wouldn't want any of them to be born on February 29th. First of all, for a kid, it would be confusing, and trying to explain something like that would be difficult for them to grasp. In reality though, parents don't have that much say as to when their baby is born. They come when they are ready :) If I had a birthday on the 29th of February or one of my kids did, I would celebrate it on the 28th of the month.
