My co-worker bothers me sometimes. One example she orders at this chinese food multiple times and knows they give a lot of food. She takes couple of bites and say she is full. There would be a lot of food left. You think she would take it home and eat the rest later, NOPE, she would throw the whole thing away. It bothers me when she does that. If she knows this place gives a lot of food don't order from there, share it or something. That is a waist of food and money.

It is a big waste. I don't like wasting anything, including the food. Since there are still many people who are starving in the world. It is too bad that we still waste the food. We are just lucky, but who knows whether we can be so lucky forever.

I guess we all agree on the same.
Throwing away food is a waste of money and resources.
Besides, I don't want to cook if I don't have to, so left overs are heaven sent to me.
There are very few times I end up giving up on a plate of food, and that's because it's so bad it actually is inedible. Those seldom happen anyway...

This topic is really something, throwing away foods is not a good thing to do. your co-workers don't know the value of food, many people suffers from hunger, imagining it that she has the ability to buy some food and just throw it away, here in my house I prefer to have dogs so that if there is a food left I would give it to them instead of throwing it away. I am very particular with food, because I know there are many people who doesn't have that.

Hello, Blkqueen. I have done this before. This is when I had money and didnt care. Now I have very little money and make sure that I either eat everything, or put it away until I can get back to it. I have made it so that I do not waste any more food. It is bad, but I used to do it.

Actually I am single so I live alone.
I always buy from the supermarkets stuff and often the portions are to big so I open the article and I maybe eat half of it... the rest it is thrown away.
It's very against nature in my opinion but I have to admin that not always it is to find single-portion products...

When we buy food we think we will eat it up. But that never proves to be true. When we are in the middle of it, we often feel full and stop eating it.

No i dont,as much as I can i will just keep left over foods in the refrigerator.I will just re heat if needed. Why throw foods when others need it most. Its better to give it to the needy especially now a days that many people cant eat 3 times a day.

I'm perfectly okay with you. Would bother me too much do something like this. Beyond the economic aspect, as you can think of throwing away the food when in the world there are millions of people dying of hunger! Excuse me respectfully to your colleague but in my view, this is a real shame!
Recommend you to him, rather that take less food, if he feel full after only a few bites, there's many people who would need it. I'm sorry but zero tolerance for this type of behavior. You are absolutely right to be pissed!

If she trying to do that every time she eat,it really bothers a lot.
I don't throw food, maybe because I really like to eat. There are too many people out there who are having a hard time to find food to eat then she just throw it because she thinks that she is already full. She better change that practice and just try to order a small amount of food that she will definitely can eat all.

It's such a waste. No, I don't throw away food unless it's gone bad or already too old to eat it.
Here in most places you can order just half portion, for half price (well it depends on the food, but it usually stands for chinese food restaurants). That's usually enough for a person who doesn't eat much.
Anyway, I just don't get it - if it tastes good, why not keep it and eat it next day? Or if it's not tasty and somebody already knows it, why order it?

Sometime i not wiling to throw the food but i have no choice. The better way from throwing the food by take a limit that enough for you. This is will save your money a food of course. But don;t try to throw the food every time, its quite bad habit that we should avoid.

Aw no, I don't throw food at all. I would if its spoiled already. When I eat outside if there is left over I always bring it with me LOL.
People who throw food, bothers me so much. I always thought that I am so lucky that I have this food, while others is struggling hard to get food. :(

I very seldom throw food away, and then only if it goes bad or tastes so bad I can't (or won't) eat it. It seems to me that when we throw food away, we're throwing money away. Might as well just throw out the money and be done with it.
I hate to see people wasting food like your co-worker does. I cringe when anyone throws away good food even if there's just a little of it!

A lot of restaurants here in Australia don't let people take home what we call here doggie bags, meaning food left over, I used to always ask for a doggie bag but now I don't like to ask in fear of embarassement...I think restaurants really give too much on a plate, I think they should have smaller plates and smaller prices then maybe you could have two different plates, some restaurants have such big plates of food, I order two entrees...

I simply don't want to throw away food except when it is already spoiled and no longer fit for human consumption. I don't eat much that after a few bites I already feel full. When I was still working for a company, I used to eat in the canteen where they also provide big servings. In order not to waste food, I made a request that I be provided only with half servings or even less. With all the hunger and deprivation suffered by many many people, I cannot in all conscience throw away food.

I often only take half of my take out chinese food at once and then eat the leftovers the next day. I agree with you, this is a big waste of food and money. Have you tried to tell her this? I wonder why she orders there knowing it is such a lot of food she will get. I can't figure alot of people out nowadays, they just do such strange things...
