In my country people speak 3 languages: Dutch (which is my main language), French and German. I'm pretty decent at both of them. Aside from those my English is decent enough to get around as well (it's my fourth language after all). I did a year of Japanese in college but I dropped it because it was too hard and too much work. I can say a few basic sentences to get around as a tourist there, but there's no way I could have actual conversations in Japanese.

chinese language is the most most irritating for me now..its hard to learn and remember..for me,hangeul (korean) is more exciting..its quite easy to learn cause u don't have to remember the word..but yes its a little bit hard to read.

My cousin studied Chinese at university and in my first year of Japanese we also saw some basic stuff. I think the different tones in which the words can be said must be extremely difficult for anyone that hasn't learned Chinese as a child. Am I wrong?

well i don't know from where you get this concept that Hindi and Urdu are same.because there is no similarity between Hindi and Urdu in terms of Language.and every word is different between Hindi and Urdu.if i ask you what is similarity between English and Russian then what would be your answer.Hindi and Urdu have no serious similarity.

When I was at secondary school I learned French for five years. Then a few years ago I learned Spanish at an evening class. I will be traveling to Argentina and Chile in March and April 2012. These and Latin American countries are where the language is Spanish. I am hoping to improve my Spanish when I am on my trip which will be happening soon. Last year took my disabled son and my daughter to Colombia. They speak Spanish there too and it was my first trip into wonderful South America. I have traveled to more than fifty five different countries so far in my lifetime. I was 18 Years old when I traveled around Europe by train. Then at age 20 to 21 years old I traveled around the world. I spent just one year on my fantastic trip. I visited California, Hawaii, Fiji, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia on that lovely journey of a lifetime. When I was 29 years old I went on another long trip to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Traveling overseas is my top hobby. Good luck with traveling and learning languages. You already know a number of different languages so that is excellent.

I know how you feel. I feel the same. I want to learn so many languages too. I self-studied learning Japanese. I'm still learning to be fluent in English until now. I want to be really fluent in many major languages.

well, good luck. i also want to learn many languages, but as many as yours. just learning English is good for me, it's possible i can communicate with other people from other countries. studying too many languages can give us a headache. your dream is a good one. i hope you reach your dreams.

I also wanted to learn some languages like Spanish,French and Italian. Learning about 10 languages is interesting but for me it quite hard. Good luck to you and study well.
