I've one talkative friend
She talks a lot, when i say a lot ... i meant to imply that she answers her own questions which are to be answered by me ... still confused ?
Quiet often we come across each other in the food court at my work place ... so did we yesterday!
She starts off with a question "What have you done to your hair ... why did you cut it so short, long hair was way better you know"
And then she asks me "how was your day" and before i answer her she says "you still have a fresh face so everything seems good for me"
Haven't seen you for a couple of days earlier this week ... before i let her know that i was on leave, she goes ahead of me and says "so you had a great time at your friend's sister marriage, heard of it from your mates"
One of her colleagues reminds her of some important meeting and she leaves the place saying "Gotta go and i'll See ya later"
That was one small conversation we had in yesterday ... to let you know i didn't have to speak a word
Question comes from her and then the answer follows too ... i'm not complaining about her neither i'm annoyed, instead i enjoy talking(or should i say listening) to her and envy her for being so jovial and active.
I was never so talkative ... i really wonder if i can ever be
How about you ... ever had a friend who were as talkative as my friend ?

I have a few friends like that
It's fun being with them and listening to how they ask and answer their own questions and then working it out at the end of the conversation that you never actually said anything and that they are none the wiser after having spoken to you because they never let you get a word in edgeways so they didn't learn anything new at all
They didn't even give you a chance to let any secrets slip either so maybe it's not a bad idea that you didn't say anything though

I can be very talkative sometimes but others, depending on who is with me, I go all shy and don't utter a word
Next time you see her why not start talking first without letting her start the conversation?

Not too sure she is jovial and active..it may be some form of nervousness. So she covers it up by doing something she is familiar with. :) That is Vandy aunty trying to understand that stuff.. :) Being talkative is different. The person has own things to narrate..this is enquiring and responding..as you read it right..something is eating that kid, or may be she is unsure of herself and does not want to look that way. I could be wrong.

Nervousness ... she doesn't sound nor look in any angle.I wonder what that issue is named after which is eating her lol?

Why I say so is that she is not waiting for your response..she is doing it all mechanically..enquiring about you and all that..not really seeking your response, is she? So she is not exactly with you ...she is just doing something similar to talking aloud. Hope I am wrong, and it is merely her being unsure of herself..at that age..that is another reason girls seem to talk more.

I'd watch out for anything strikingly unusual. And this sounds unusual enough. Are there others like her? Most talkative, second most talkative, third most talkative..what kind of conversation they have..you would notice the difference. Just dont go rushing with help. She would refuse and might get you into mess. But as I said..people in teens and just out of teens who are too shy - yeah too shy...and afraid to show their shyness also behave like that for a while.

Well I think I would be alright with it the first few times but then I would start to get annoyed. I can understand being jovial and hyper, but it gets to a point where it's rude not to let the person you're talking to get a word in edge wise.
I have the misfortune of having an aunt in law that can talk way too much, she yaps and yaps and yaps and you can't get her to be quiet, but you end up leaving with a headache about four hours later!

We bump into each other once in a while and she is a pleasant person to be around ... still i can imagine how tiring it can be to listen to someone for hours.

I usually walk out of the room, and when it comes to being on the phone? I'll say I'm busy if she wants to talk to me!

Oh yes I do,and for goodness sake, whenever I saw her I want to back out of hide if I still have time to hide.
Whenever she starts talking, she never stops unless someone call her or called me.
I just can't step away (I don't want to be rude) but sometimes I am forced to excuse myself or else, I can't finish any work with her endless talk

well, she can't figure it that I am hiding from her.
I had my ways of hiding (not behind walls or post -lols)
I simply pretend talking to someone thru phone (see how fast I am -hahahaha) that if my mobile phone is in my pocket, so I can grab it at hand
Or if I saw other person, I would talk to that person until she passes by...

Had there been any instances when she managed to find you in your hiding place ?It can be embarrassing right, don't know why but the first thing which struck my mind was if you were ever caught hiding from her

It is not that, but rather that I am happy when someone else takes the spotlight and gives me a rest from talking and I like to listen, but admittedly I am not awfully patient in hearing people who are slow to speak. I like to listen to fast talkers like myself except when it is a business contact and then they should slow down enough for people to really and truly understand what is being transacted.

Ha ha ha, that must get annoying! I know a girl who LOVES to talk about herself, and I've known her for like 10 years, so for me, all we do is talk about her. But she lets me in on the conversation...As long as it's about her. *Rolls eyes*. But I don't know anyone like this, who basically could have a conversation with themselves... Luckily you don't have to bump into her too often, I hope anyway!

Unless your friend loves herself beyond limits, she cannot talk about her so much!Funny how your friend is good enough to let you make a point or two about her in between
I do not find mt friend annoying though, after all its just a couple of minutes.

Many women do this, I have friends like that too, and yes many women tend to just talk and talk...They have a lot of things to share and just need to share their thoughts with someone :) Sometimes I wish I was so talkative too.
Even those who like to complain often don't wait for a solution, just want to talk about it.

Yes. My lady friend is EXACTLY the same way. I will be there talking to a friend on the phone and she will ask who it was once I hang up. Before I tell her she has already said that it, "must be John, or maybe Donna." I will wait for a long time while she talks and finally get a word in.
She was giving me a ride to work one day and she talked all 12 miles. I just watched the scenery. That may seem mean, but I am sort of like you, I dont have much to say. Thanks for the post sunnycool. Have a great day. :)

yes i have this kind of friend and there is no doubt that friend is female.i don't know why only girls are so talkative but it is very good if you have friend like this.because that kind of person, who does not want your acceptance for any things they say , never bores you.and my friend ,oh my god, she is like talking and laughing machine.and i like her behavior because she did not bore me.

Fascinating observation!Clearly YOU pay attention to people. The truth is, many do not. As for your question, yes, I do know someone who sounds very similar to this lady.
It is very cute and charming, in small amounts...but if you spend a fair bit of time with someone who tends to do this - it can make one feel like nothing.
I knew someone who just spoke AT me, she was funny and vibrant but really was only interested in number one, herself.
That was okay, but a friendship was impossible as she DID NOT want me to talk!! Lol. One cannot have a friendship with someone like this but a passing acquaintance is fine for sure.

oh, I have a friend like that, and I have to surprise you, that friend of mine is a MALE! xD
when he starts talking, he changes themes by himself and (of course) never stops until someone or something stops him...
one time I came 1 hour and 20 minutes late for lunch because I was being polite and listened to his talking...
haha

I actually know guys that do that as well. Of course, if I try to get a word in, then they tend to cut me off and finish my sentence for me. I guess that they are just trying to be "gentlemanly" by doing all the work in the conversation. Unfortunately, most times they never complete the sentence the way I was going to. On the other hand, it does make for an interesting "twist" in the story, since I obviously never really know what I am thinking until they tell me.

Heyya sunnycool!
Sounds like to me that your friend might be a little nervous around you...there isn't the chance of romantic interest is there? Sometimes people talk like that and answer their own questions because they are fidgeting..LOL.
Now I have ran across those that are just plain talkative.

I've come across several such talkative and jovial people. They talk a lot keep us entertained and lighten the atmosphere. On a difficult day we need such people to divert our tensed mind.Though at times it would be even better if we could slip in a word or two.

Absolutely, they can ease our mind if we're a bit tensed! However,it can be annoying when it comes to a point where you expect some suggestions rather than a couple of funny remarks.

Yes, one of my friends is just as talkative. I like the way she talks but sometimes she talks so fast that nobody has a chance to say anything. It's like she knows all the happenings in the world and she's able to carry on any conversation without any problems. I do envy her for that. At times, i do hope that she can simply shut up as it's really annoying when she keeps talking when i wanted some peace. There are times she called and i just leave my phone on loud speaker as i went to do my stuffs. MOments later when i return, she's still talking there and i just let her be till she hangs up.
