Bunny hopping

It is just so hard.
I can't get a grip on it.
I tryed many times, but I always miss the time I have to press space, if I move left and right.
I can jump without slowing down if i move straight forward, but when I strafe I miss it and i slow down.
I've also seen a lot of guys with bhp scripts on the servers I play, but I think they are lame.
Do you have some tips to learn faster to bhop?

You could find some tutorials on Youtube and practice a bit.
The best way to do it is to start a New Game, choose de_dust2_long (or de_dust2)map and set gravity (e.g. sv_gravity 700).
The better you bhop, the greatest gravity should be !

So you say I should start with lower gravity?
But then the time between jumps would be bigger, thus it will be different than with normal gravity.
Am I going to be able after I've learned it on low gravity to adapt it for normal gravity?
Just saying, I can bhop on lower gravity, and not lose speed, but when I join servers with normal gravity I can not do it properly.

Try binding your mousewheel to "jump" instead of your spacebar. As soon as you get close to the ground you should start to scroll your mousewheel. That way you will get used to bhoping alot faster (worked for me).
If you want to try something really easy to start with, you could try to join servers with socalled "bhop plugins". That way, you can just hold down your spacebar and you will jump automatically.

There are many video tutorial online, it's easy to find a way to learn. But time matters, you need to practice it over and over to perfect that technique.
