in Recent Decades , mush has been made out of unity , but little has come of it.
The USA is almost hopelessly fractured and polarized politically, and nothing much has come from the ecumenical cry for unity except holding hands and singing songs.
That is merely "feel good " unity , not effective unity . Is there a deeper , more fundamental problem that prevents unity even when it is desired ?
The problem may be characterized this way. Real, Effective unity requires unity of purpose , values and our paradigm or our understanding of reality. this is unity on the belief level and there are many reasons why They don't want that:
I don't think it is possible
I Think it is too difficult or hopeless within the existing cacophony of confusion
I equate that level of unity with mind control
They sometime think that it will kill individualism
I equate they belief system with their self identity , and wouldn't want to give up our personally cherished beliefs.
I unconsciously know that effective unity will eliminate the drama to which we are all addicted
i don't really see how mush of anything will come of it if achieved TOO many times , calls for unity are disguises for a pitch for power and control
At the End of day however , effective unity of purpose , values and paradigm is essential for peace and goodwill to flourish in human affairs and to engender great societies.

In every group or organization it is very important to have unity.Every thing will be solve if there is unity.A unity for a good cause, will lead us to have peace. By the way,in my opinion it is not difficult to have unity,it doesn't kill our individualism but it can helps for the progress of what ever organization or groups for a good purpose especially in religious organization. It is the will of God to have unity.
