There is a Rare Earth Processing Factory which claims to be the biggest in the world that are currently operating with temporary license under government's supervision guides. The Rare earth after processed will generate radioactive wastes and the people of Kuantan (Malaysia) wanted the government to stop the rare earth plant which only situated 25km from the town. If you know anything about this issue, kindly share your view/opinion/support. Thanks.

Why the governmet want to let that foreign company to process dangerous radioactive material inside Kuantan? They must have hanky-panky under the table transactions going on between the ruling party's minister cabinet and the rare earth plant management, they are putting the life of many ordinary Malaysians at risk, the official that approved this operating license is plain cruel and greedy, hoping to kill everyone in the case of disaster or accident happen, If unfortunately that the radioactive material got leaks, million of Malaysians will die and get sick from the fallout of radioactive with the present state of antiquated technology this company and government have on hand, only God can save them if that happen. Don't they care about the life and health of commoners anymore inside Malaysia, it is bad no matter the license is temporary or permanent. Sigh!!

It's true. Why the cabinet approves such a dangerous radioactive plant be built without any views /knowledge from the public. They are really put the health / life of the nations on risk with no or little benefits from this company. The local people as well as Malaysian as a whole already voiced out to stop Lynas but yet the government still no better action taken or solution on this issue.

The reason is very simple why the ministry approved such a dangerous redioactive plant be built in Kuantan, the P.M and his ministers don't have to live beside it, or even near it, so the voices of those people and community living within the close proximity of the rare earth plant won't matter much anyway since the life of the P.M and his ministers are not at risk at all even after an accident take place, let alone need to expose to any leak radioactive waste daily in their yard and home. They are well protected and shieled from any harm inside their million dollar offices and mansions in the Capital city- Kuala Lumpur.

It's true also. They might not have the risk to face the radioactive problem. But I think it's just the matter of time if there is any leakage of the radioactive. Sooner or later everyone in Malaysia will get infected.

If contamination detected, that mean the factory already in operation and the effect is uncountable......

The Lynas rare earth processing factory in Kuantan is really an issue to be concern of. Although the government had been assuring the people that all factorial wastes are going to be disposed of to Gebeng, but that is also not really an effective way to guarantee the people's safety. Besides, people are concern with the radioactive leakage from thorium and uranium during the factory activities. These can post threat to the people in Kuantan especially.
I really hope that the government will make decision which is ensure the best interest of it's citizens before all else.

I totally agree with you. But it seems that the government has no plan to stop the Lynas but to assure people that the radioactive waste will be transported outside the residence areas or outside Malaysia in order to keep the people safe...well...I think this is not the solution that the people want...
