I have spent the last hour going through 153 responses to find the last two who responded to this old discussion I made 3 years ago.
I also commented back on the few I had missed hoping they are still
here after three years.Your take my fello wmylotters on resurrecting older discussions. I was pleased myself.

Like me you too like your old discussions being resurrected. I had once started a discussion about resurrecting old discussions and realized that many mylotters did not want their old discussions being resurrected. I found it a bit odd but then everyone cannot be like us!!!. I like to sometimes read my old discussions and sometimes commenting on them because our thoughts three years back and now are different.

Hello Hatley,
Yes this is the best feature of Mylot as we can always go back to old discussions and comment back as there is no such time boundation. But 3 years are really a long time period and i think if the respondents still are there on Mylot.

Having discussions of old revived now is remarkable. It means that the discussion is timely before and is useful and interesting as it is today. Getting some more responses from old discussions really gives a good feeling that someone took the time to look over and respond to that old discussion thread. Good thing that you Ms. Hatley is still on the hunt to give out your responses to those who comments on your discussions. That's why many myLotters love responding to your discussions. They are quite sure that you will be giving out time to read on our responses once we comment on your discussions. Keep it up Ms. Hatley, and may the other myLotters see you as an epitome to myLotting.

hi bhonti oh it was on how some mylotters were on here making a discussion on how bored they were and no good discussions to respond to and I was saying in mydiscussion I am never bored as there are many many discussions to respond to one here. Also if you dislike these, show us how to make a really interesting discussion by
contributing your expertise. seemed to have piqued some real
interest. I was astounded at how it had gone on and one getting responses two and one year and one hour later.

Wow! So the discussion goes on....
I can't say exactly how I would feel. While having responses to old discussions is charming, I feel at loss. Every time I start a discussion, it has some kind of emotion attached to it. And so, after 3 or so years, it's hard to relive that emotion. I will be polite and enthusiastic and all, but I know my response will not be same as one I would have given that time. And the responder is going to notice that kind-of dryness.
Blame it on my poor retaining power!

hi hora__fugit thats because you are still young and have wonderful
'long years ahead of you. I really do have that emotion too as I
make a discussion unless its one or two silly ones I made just for
fun. I doubt very much that you have poor retaining power. You
just have not had the years of experience here I have had. Also
you are a man too so see things from a male view point too.
I can frankly say I was not too sure how I was going to feel
responding to these two new responses. But in my five years here
I progressed from very unsure of myself to much more sure of myself.
so do not give up on yourself ever.

153 responses, that is very impressive. I haven't received that many responses on a discussion. I am happy when people respond to one of my old discussions. Most of my discussions are about general topics that never get "too old", and new responses are always welcome. I like to comment on the new responses that I get on old discussions and continue the conversation about my topic. Sometimes I get surpriced when people respond to one of my old discussions, because I started it a long time ago and almost forgot about it, but I am happy that other members still find the topic interesting a long time after I started the discussion.

hi Porcospino Yes I feel happy when someone revived and old discussion of mine as it makes me think I did do something
right on that discussion. I was prone to make more responses
to others discussions than make my own. but lately I have felt
more sure of myself and onthose I have always gotten a lot of
responses. I think that if one is passionate about something
you will get responses some disagreeing which is okay too,'and others feeling the same way about my topic.I find if I an making a discussion that starts to feel wrong,it will get few responses but several times those have garnered more responses than I felt it would get. lol lo

I actually think that resurrecting old discussions is a good thing because of the fact that discussions aren't supposed to be repeated and therefore the older discussions are something that is still valuable.
With that said, I know that the discussion that I started that had the most responses was well over one hundred as well and I really had a good time responding to the comments on that discussion.

Hi Hatley,
That is really amazing, I can never have any discussion more than may be 30 or may be less responses. What I can say is you are too famous in mylot. Everyone like you and people like your discussion. That is why you have so many responses. May be you are the top responses record holder in mylot. And even after 3 years, your old discussion still have someone responded to, that is really kind of miracle to me.

hi Rittersport for me so many times I get this oh my thats a great idean then notice oh my someone else thought the s ame thing
or else I sit down here with this wo nderfu l idea for a
discussion I got last night. okay engage brain, uh huh
yes what was that great idea? And its gone just like some of
my responses after I have typed a big response it flew the
coop. And the second response never seems as good as the

hi rittersport I found I can save to clipboard, just highlight all and hit copy then if the response flies off I hit paste and
there it is all nicely savedx.clipboard runs unseen all the time
so I just use it instead of going to word , takes much less time.

Well for me, I feel like it depends on the discussion. I"ll admit there are some discussions I feel embarrassed with so I don't want them to be "resurrected", but when they are sometimes I answer sometimes I just let it get buried again. When it's a discussion I had a lot of fun with, I am very happy it gets resurrected and I try to keep it that way myself.

hi SomeCowgirl oh I made some I hope do not get resurrected one w as on smoking being not good for your health. that one got a lot of
really flaming remarks, and one on the hassle of Jehovah's Witnessed keeping me at the door when I was going into a diabetic low, that one got maybe four or five response some of them
scathing and they were deleted. So for me too it depends on the
discussion. I made one while new here that i had hoped would help
other diabetics but it did not get many responses at all.
the one I am talking about I really did have fun with and last night although irked at first that I took so long find the new response, I realized I was really enjoying this too.

It amazes me that people find those old discussions! Sometimes I don't even rememebr I had made that one! I rarely find an old discussion and rely to it! If I did alot, would be by memenbers who were here and long gone!

hi blu e65packer thats why I went back to my three year old discussion as I feel if someone responds to any of my
discussions I owe him or her the courtesy of commenting
back on the response. Also this is the only way a discussion
becomes a discussion is when people go back and forth giving
input and output.Amazingly most of the people who had responded
are still here.

to a discussion that stated the person was bored as there were no interesting discussions on mylot. I said yes there are but you have not looked under all tabs. with all the thousands of discussions here surely nooner is so bored that they could not find one that interested them and if they feel that way why not make some of their own and show us just how they are made. I love the idea we can go back and respond to older discussions, I have seen some that Ii hoped if revived would now take off. They were to me great discussions but hardly anyone had responded to them. When I saw
responses I had not commented on I felt bad so yes I figured
that I owed them this.some I knew were still here while others
I took a chance on that they might be here.It took me a good hour'
