Watching a movie is beneficial because it not only stimulates your senses but also provide you with numerous life lessons which are really useful nowadays. Take for example the lesson of obedience that ws implied in the movie " JOSE RIZAL". Young Pepe has learned the value of obedience derived from the story of the moth and the fly. He has not only valued obedience but also the value of taking risk and dying if need be to reach your dreams and for the cause you believed in. These are the lessons that i have learned from watching movie. How about you? Have you learned as well?

Hi there DranrebGomez!
I agree that we can learn a lot of lessons from the movie Rizal. I am actually downloading a copy of the whole movie since I have seen my son watch videos of the film on Youtube. He got interested when I wrote a script for Rizal's arrest, trial and execution for my sister.
The best lesson I have learned from movies, though, a lot of them has this valuable lesson: Never take anybody for granted. We should take every moment that we can to tell or show them how much we love them and how important they are to us for tomorrow, it might be too late.

I hope this discussion is not deleted. I think it is an interesting question and could collect some valuable responses.
The most recent lesson I learned is that lessons can still be taught, at least in children's movies, while their youthful naivety has not left them jaded and cynical yet.
I think choosing movies that have good lessons is essential for growth, because you can talk about it afterwards.
