How much do you spend your time in playing online games?
What kind of online games are you playing especially the RPG and MMORPG?
Just because of playing online games have you experienced to forgot or do any other responsibilities? Like for example you weren't able to study just because of playing games to the extent that you are having failing grades?

There are one or two online games I like to play, I usually spend an hour a day online gaming.
But no, I'm not addicted to it, my grades have never fallen behind because of games, they are my top priority, so if I just have to stop playing to have the time to study I will do so.
Unfortunately, there are so many people who really are obsessed with this...

That is totally true some people are already obsessed with this kind of game. Well I understand sort it is because it is like a victory whenever you are going to win the game.

Some people just don't like their lives too much and diced to live through video games.
That's pretty common as well, it's like when someone reads and reads to live in a fantasy world.

I used to be addicted to online games...but then (lol)...nevermind. I used to play Runescape about 6 years ago or so. Haven't really played an online game since then. I enjoy console games better. Console games have a lot more content and bigger screen means bigger fun. heh heh. Playing games never really influenced my personal life. There's this thing called discipline.

That is good that you were still able to manage your time on where to play and not to play.

I play online games or games in general A LOT and I pretty much play any genre as far as the game is good but I have to say that even though I love RPGs it's very rare I play an online one because they are way too boring and they seem a copy/paste of other online RPGs.
Even though I enjoy playing them, I have to say that I never forgot to do anything and always got off to do other things just to get on later.

I have recently found an enjoyable on-line game called name the countries of the world in 15 minutes. I can only manage to type the names of up to 160 different countries in 15 minutes. I require more like 30 minutes because there are over 200 different countries. I do better with the individual continents like South America, North America including Central America and the Caribbean Islands, Europe, Asia and Australasia. I go onto it every day and get annoyed with myself with the 15 minute game. I know more yet there isn't enough time to enter all the countries names.

That is great at least you are becoming more particular in terms of recognizing the countries. Just always keep that up.

I think that I am a little bit addicted to playing a few online games, because I think that they're great and they enable me to pass time when I am bored. However, there is always the slight worry that you end up spending more time than you'd hoped to on the games because you lose track of time when you're engaged with things on the internet. You should set yourself reasonable time limits to play on these games and make sure that you stick to these time limits otherwise you might find that the games start to take over your life.

That is totally true we should be responsible on how to manage our time. Because at times if you lose the game then chances are you won't stop just to win the game. Then whenever you already achieved of winning the game then chances are you want another game or go to the next level to have fight again. But then it depends. I agree it will really take your life like example if you are doing your project in school then chances are you can't make it anymore because you don't have the time already.

Dear friend, as advice I can give you is the following. If your are becoming addicted to online games, such compromattere your grades at school, then watch out!
I am under a certain aspect I feel a little dependent on the games that I do, and those available on Facebook as "Kingdom of Camelot & Pro MMA fighter", and for the independents. especially in football management games that I often think about what I should do to get top scores.
But I must say that I'm in a situation different from yours, because I have no other commitments, so I can devote much of my time at these games. But in your case, everything is different, think first of all to study, then free time devoted to games as well, provided they do not become an addiction for you!

Dude I am already done in school and right now I am still applying for work. During my school days I've never played online games and yet Ragnarok was the only popular games during our time. At least I've never engaged myself into playing games because I know it will just only ruin my school work especially if I am doing my thesis.

Hello Metatronik,
I don't play online games.
I used to when i was a kid but not now as i have lost interest in it.Definitely addiction of anything is bad one should try to leave it sooner before it effects other things in our life.I know its difficult to leave it and lot more depends on your will power but i gaurantee you once you will stop playing it at least for 10 days you will definitely leave it but those 10 days will like a test for you.

Hi there metatronik,
I am not much of a online RPG gamer but I do computer games and it is just as attention grabbing. I used to play it for hours and i even forget to eat study or even take a bath but those days are long gone and i would never wish them back again because it is just time consuming anyways i share your sentiments.

That is good idea that you have grown up with that kind of environment. It is really hard to be an addicted if you already suffered for something. But then of course it is still fun that you can learn something from it.

I like to play online games, but I wouldn't say that I am addicted to it. In some periods I play a least a couple of hours a day and in other periods I hardly play games at all. I have been a member of King since 2008 and in the beginning I sometimes participated in the money tournaments there. I won some money that way, but I also lost some money and after some time I decided to skip the money tournaments and stick to the free games. I still visit King every once in a while, but I only play the free games epecially the puzzle games and the strategy games. I recently started playing a game called Brain game and it is mix of logic, math and memory. It is fun, but I am really bad at the math games where I have to add and subtract in my head
