Which church are you describing? Really church is not a good word to describe God's people, a better word is congregation?

jesus will not come back

I suspect that Jesus knows the condition of the organized church! What He thinks about it can probably be summed up by reading his opinions of the leaders of His day. The Pharisees and the Sadducees were no strangers to His wrath and those who follow their examples still are not pleasing to Him. All that said, there is a church and there is a Church. The Church, the Bride of Christ, is spiritually pure and ready for her Groom. The church - the one that man made, is a mess, just like anything else we try to do "for" God (in God's place).

It was already answered in the Bible. What he will do is exactly what he was doing before. And for that reason I don't think Jesus will come back. His second coming is not back to earth but the welcoming ceremony of his faithful followers into the new Jerusalem.
