How to adopt cat and make it more friendly???

How cute! I adopted two feral cats before, it just takes a little patience and time. Just keep feeding the cat and slowly make your way closer to the cat each day. If it freaks out a bit, back away and simply watch it eat. Eventually, the cat will get use to your presence and you can pet it. The feral kitten I adopted after a few days went right up to my legs. So just be really patience and try to avoid lots of people, you wouldn't want the little fellow to be scared away. Once it warms up to you, I'm sure the cat will warm up to your friends.

Did you just get the cat? Is she or he somewhat NEW to you and your home? My little cat was incredibly anti-social for the longest time, maybe a year. I think she was abused at her previous home, she would run away from me or anyone else who tried to pet her. Now she can't get enough attention from people. So, maybe it just takes time.
