Is it time for the great man Roger Federer to retire?

Roger hasn't certainly been at his best at the recent times. He has gone 2 years without a grand slam title and is in his worst slump of his career. The way Novak, Rafa and Andy are playing now, it is very hard to say whether Roger, who is now 30, can match their awesome stamina levels on the Court. Has the time finally come for him to take a bow out of tennis? Your comments...

For me, Federer is good for another 2 or 3 years. I think he can still win a few more grandslams as he still shows he can win tournaments and reach finals. Yes, he's not at his best anymore but in my opinion he still got the skills to win probably 1 to 3 more grandslams before he can call it quits. I'm not actually a fan of Federer as my style of playing is a baseliner, but I can't ignore the fact of his greatness with his big forehand and excellent volleying skills, plus his huge service game. Those factors led me to believe that he has another 2 or 3 years left for him.

Must be terrible to be considered past it at 30.
I think some other greats have still had wins in their thirties.
He's nowhere near his peak of a few years back, when he was pretty much unbeatable, but if he still enjoys playing, why not keep going? Although it's still a good idea to stop before you become a laughingstock.

Well, I don't really know much about his career and tennis cups as a whole but I did watch some of his games and know a bit of his reputation. I do think that if he thinks he still got it then give it one more shot but if he fails then let it be the last before he makes further blunders and cover up his fame with smudges.

Well since I never liked Roger, I am all for him retiring. He was a late bloomer and it appears he will be early to go. Sure he won a lot of titles but face it the competition really was not all the great during the period in which he won most of them.

yes,you are right that he can retire before everyone starts laughing at him.He may be having lesser stamina than the young players, but he holds the experience of an aged man.Experience is also needed for today's tennis.Anyway,he is not much to the ground level. He is world number 3 now.Hope he gets his form back.
