I am a full time time employee, and I am also a mother. I would love to be able to work full time, making as much as I am right now or more online, from home. I just would like to know of people who does this, their experience, where did they find these opportunities. Is this a real possibility? Has anyone really been able to do it? What type of job do you do?

I used to work for About.com and made very good money. There are a few sites like that who pay decent rates if you can do the work. I now work part time for Dollar Stretcher at a very much reduced rate of pay (and a reduced rate of work!), but I consider myself retired.
How to find the opportunities is the real problem, but surf the internet and start contacting people, just like you would if you were looking for work otherwise.

Having an additional income would also be good, since if I can't stay home my fiance will stop working to stay home with the baby, since we can't afford daycare. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do online?

I rewrite content. :) It does not pay much. But then, it would have been the line I'd have pursued had I been financially well off at the right age. So I satisfy my curiosity in the process. I am cool about it. One of the advantages of freelancing is you can do when you want to, and avoid doing work when you want to do something else. I need that kind of flexibility. :) I dont earn much though. :)

i can get projects on freelancing sites.
i resigned my current job just to focus more working online.
because it pays me better than my former job.
and i am loving the freedom.
i even made my own little art studio where i can hire
more artists because i can get more jobs that i can't take for my self.
goodluck finding your luck. ^___^

freelancing sites like odesk, guru, peopleperhour and more gives real projects.
the site will choose the right job for you after you give information about your self and work experience.
i am an artist, and i can get a lot of artwork related projects there,
like graphic designs, illustrations, game designs, comicbooks and more.
you can earn depending on what project will be given to you.
i can get lucky sometime with the projects i make.
the biggest money i made there was $2000 for 3 illustrations that will be used for merchandises. and i finished the artwork in 2 weeks only.
the least i can get from there is $30 - $45 a day.
the rate differs if you get some bigtime company that will ask you to work for them.

Yes or no. There many opportunities online but most jobs do not pays alot of money to sustain even your basic needs. I would suggest you to do online jobs as part time and once you have spotted a better ways to earn online then you can resign from your job.
