Today I have read a story which made my heart warm.
The outline of the story is:
a blind boy sat on the steps of the building, holding up a sign which said"I am blind, please help." A man walking by dropped a few coins into the hat and write some new words on the sign. Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked,"Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"The man said,"I only write the truth. I said what you said but in a different way." What he had written was:"Today is a beautiful day; I cannot see it."
Yes, the second sign is so softhearted that it told people thay were so lucky that they were not blind. No wonder that the second sign was more effective.
After reading the story, what's your feeling, my dear friend? Maybe it's a old story. However, I still want to share it with you.

This story shows that there are many ways to live life, and one such way is to live it with full knowledge of what great things you have. There are times that, we are like the blind boy, saying only that we are blind not really knowing what else there is for us, but if we live like the other guy, helping out the blind by letting others know how lucky we are to be what we are today, not only do we help others but ourselves us well.

Thank you for responding. Excellent point, yes, when we help others, we help ourselves. There are many things so nice with us but we are not aware of. Maybe we should open wide our eyes to find the wonderful in life.

This is the first time I have read this story and it really warms my heart, I felt a tear came down my eyes. Well, it's true that blind people can't see things but they can feel it's a beautiful day. Most people just don't realize it and they simply don't value it. But having hopes when you are blind or incapacitated makes it feel good and warms the heart of other people who just realized how good life can be when you don't worry much with complete senses.

yes, it's touching. My dear friend, I hope that my next story can make you smile. I know that your tears is because of moving, not sadness. I still sincerely wish you happy. Yes, for us, as clear as a bell, everyday is a wondeful day. We should cherish what we have and help those who are incapacitated and let them feel warm even though they can not see the sunshine.

I agree with what you said that people should be grateful they are not blind. A lot of people forget the blessings they get and disrespect those who are handicapped. They think that they have no time to help others who are in need while actually they have plenty of time. Different words can change someone's life or luck. We should do it to more people. Imagine if we always say the truth and help other people, I think we can live in peace by now.

yes, people should have more love for those disadvantaged groups. After all, it's not easy to live in the world. If everybody contributes a little love, the world will be more warm and beautiful. Thank you for your response.

i haven't heard that story before and yes it is so heart warming. that one man who stopped and changed the boy's sign proved that there's still hope even in places you think you won't get it.

It sounds like a beautiful story and heartwarming. It would really break my heart if I seen either one of the signs. I might have done the same thing that the man did when he was passing by.
