There are people who always into buying the latest gadgets, while there are also others who still enjoys using their good 'ole ones. Eventually, they will get a new one but still keeps the not-so-popular old device.
Anyone here that are still holding on to their trusty old notebook PC? What are the things that you enjoy doing with them?
Oh & by the way, I used a Dell Latitude D400 notebook making this post^^

It's good that gadgets are pretty useful. My thoughts about your post is that if good 'ole gadgets are still up and going, why use them to their fullest capacity and limit instead of wasting more money on new ones? That's how i treat gadgets. It's such a waste to destroy your past gadget since i treat them as pets. I will love them and play with them until they die. He he he. By the way, is Dell Latitude D400 notebook new? Well, happy mylotting and have a good day.

Nice because you decided to keep your Dell Latitude D400. It is such a waste to trade something that has been with you for so long for a new one. But of course if it becomes slower and a little bit damaged, we might as well reconsider to trade for a better one, right? Well, have a great day, may you cherish your moments with your Dell Latitude D400.

I prefer to use the good old ones. Firstly I don't like to spend money on a new one if it's still working properly, second, it might sound funny but it's like a good old friend to me. My netbook is an old one and my phone is even much older, but I'm not planning to get rid of them as long as I can use them.

Yeah, good point. There was this thought that the "latest isn't always the greatest". It feels much better having a 2 or 3 generations behind gadget than buying the latest one that hasn't been tested yet in the consumer-level.
One example is the Playstation Vita when it was launched. Early adopters complained with it's buggy touch screen, which was resolved after Sony released a software update to patch the problem. One consideration when buying a gadget is reading reviews^^
..but hey, who's not gonna love old gadgets that are still good with what they do.

I have the very first netbook of MSI, the u100 model. I love it for its so portable compared to the so many big laptops that are expensive around. I use my netbook when I need to present something in school. Bring very big laptops are so hassle. What I love about this notebook is that it's so convenient to bring everywhere, so I can do my computer tasks everywhere.

It's depend on what purpose you buy a gadget. If you want to feel the new gadget, or just for the luxury reason, then it's right to always buy new gadget. But, if your purpose just to match your need, for example you just need an office program, maybe it's alright if you're using or keep your old gadget, as long as it can work as you need.
