Now 12th class exam is started in Maharashtra. I know lots of students are not reading in day or night but they are busy to making the cheat and write the notes on paper and in exam hall they use this cheat and start the cheating means they brings the pages in exam hall and copy the answers. Sometime one students pass the page to others and then teacher caught them but some teachers are also involved in it. Because they are interested in bribe.
I think this is very bad still I not understand why they take this steps. Why they not try to study well and use their own mind. This is not good habit and such type of students never go ahead. What you think do the study is good habit or no problem in cheating. Ohhh my God what a mind of student you can see in this picture.

studying well is the best way to pass the exams. it is good you don't tolerate this type of activity by the other students. for me, it is now the students decision to study better or to cheat because they hold their future. we don't have their lives, we don't give them their future. if they don't want to study well then a good future for them will be hard to reach. that is only for my opinion by the way . :)

Yes you are right study is the best way to pass the exam not cheating. Cheater has no experience of any knowledge so they cant give the interview and their future will not good.

Of course cheating is not a good way to pass any exam. It's one form of dishonesty. It only shows that those who do this aside from not studying their lessons is that they didn't understand the discussion of the teacher also. This is one of the factors that we should consider in dealing this undesirable thing a student may do during exams.
Another is, there must be some high level of strictness that has to be imposed during the exams, in order to avoid the students to cheat. And of course a concrete sanctions if anyone is caught.

when I took exams in the University of California Irvine
we were made to put a chair between us and the next person
so nobody could even see the other persons exams.even in large\
classes we still had to have chairs between us on all sides. Thus no one could see he other person's exam pages.

ofcourse cheating is not the proper way to pass a subject. students must always prepare and review for exams. am still a student, however, no matter how much i try to review, there are times when i really forgot the answers and there are really subjects im not really good at. also, exams in all subjects come at the same time so a student can really have a mind overload so me, i also make those little papers but i dont abuse using it as i dont want to get caught. ugh, i need to pass my subjects.

Well, the purpose of an examination is to test how far the student learn and to see whether its effective the way the teaching strategy. If student has to cheat to pass the exam, then why, what's the purpose of the while examination or school things? He/she will eventually learn nothing but only "how to cheat".
Anyway, I think this is something wrong with the education system where everything in school is exam orientated. Scores is the top most important thing instead of understand and learning the knowledge.

Yes. I agree with you. Cheating to pass the exam is a wrong act. By cheating you may pass the exam, but what about you future. What if you have to go for interview on the job ? You cannot cheat there. Cheating is not only a good habit but it also is very dangerous for your career. It is good to read yourself and give the exam, rather than cheating. You may fail or get less marks but at least you will have peace of your mind.

I have often read that Indian students at all levels think nothing of cheating during exams.
This practice shows the utmost stupidity in my humble opinion, I mean, what's the point??!!
It seems that standards in this country are very low in this area of education no matter what the caste.

Hi fanta!
I agree with you that it is unfair to pass an exam through cheating. Those who cheat in exams may not succeed in their lives because they will not come to know the value of hard work and honesty.
When in school or college, I wrote my exams with my own ability without going for cheating.

In my personal opinion, cheating is bad. But I think that only because I was taught so, and don't attach any logical or moral value to it. However I disagree with such students never go ahead
OK here is what I heard a lot of times:
"It's easy for brilliant students to say that( cheating no good). But I'm an average student, why I'm actually a weak student! When I see them enjoying their time throughout the year I too do so. Everyone wants to be in group, do like others do. And when the exams are near, they easily sail through the course material. But it takes me a lot of time, and still I don't get much of it. So, only option I have is to cheat. How is it my fault??"
I refrained from expressing my own views because IMO cheating is not the only problem with our education system of time. Learning is no more the focus of education. Your marks/grades define you and as my teacher said,"I don't care what means you take, get good marks and you'll excel. As for the knowledge, there are always training periods..."
And he was SO much correct!

I don't think that cheating is beneficial in any way because it means that people will think that you're capable of doing things that you're not, which might mean that you wouldn't get the amount of help that you would probably need to get to the next stage of your education. I had a friend who cheated on an exam and it meant that she was put into a higher class than she could cope with the next year, and she failed the class entirely when it really mattered, because she was too embarrassed to admit that she needed more help than she was getting.

Cheating is never good especially if you're trying to pass an exam. It's frightening to think that these students who cheat might one day aspire to become a doctor or an engineer and if they cheat in class, will they make a good doctor or a good engineer? And if you hear stories about doctors who kill their patients and bridges collapsing, could it be because these are the students who cheated in their exams?

When I was studying in high school, the bad trait I did not want with my classmates was cheating. Ironically, they did so even if we were in the first section, which supposed to have the intelligent students in the school. Hence, even if they tag me as not going along with them, it was my personal policy then not to let anyone cheat from me and not to cheat from anyone, too. However, I made it a point that, when I have the liberty of time, I accommodated their inquiries on subjects they did not understand and even taught them patiently.
For me, cheating does not do any good to the one cheating and even to the person who lets himself/herself be cheated from. The one letting himself be cheated from deprives himself of the glory of studying hard. The one cheating deprives himself of self-respect and self-esteem, aside from the knowledge that should have been internalized when being studied. Cheating also promotes laziness to study hard and parasitism among students. Later in life, students who have been used to cheating will not be able to apply for themselves in their work and life what they they should have learned in school.
I still remember the story of two friends who were studying to be teachers in college. One of them has been dependent with the other during exams through cheating. Both made it through and got job in a single school. When the one who has been cheating in college encountered a tough question in class, she made an alibi and immediately consulted her friend for the answer. This will be the same lot of those who cheat.

IMO it depends on the usefulness of the class. The philosophy and religion classes I had the previous years were annoyingly difficult and the material useless in later life so I cheated. Not that that helped much, but at least I got an average grade with it.
Of course it'd be ridiculous to cheat on important classes, because sooner or later you're going to have to be able to use that in a more practical assignment.
Btw, I'm talking about college here. In high school I cheated half the time. I really couldn't care less about 90% of what we learned there.

Cheating to pass an exam in my opinion, is not the right way to go. If a person were to get a job based on his/her knowledge of what he/she studied he would not be able to do that job properly unless he had studied properly. An exam is a way of testing a person's knowledge of a subject and if that person would fail if he/she didn't cheat, then he wouldn't know enough to go into the workplace and use that subject. As a Zen practitioner, I have realized that there are no real "short cuts" in life, and if a person cheats then the only one being cheated is the person who is doing the cheating. _Derek

If the teachers are involved, they are doing a huge disservice to the children. If the children are cheating on their own, sadly they will discover when they try to find work, that they have cheated themselves out of the best paying positions.
It seems these days everyone tries for the easy way out. Whatever happened to working for what you want and giving 110 percent? I think it is a thing of the past.

heating to pass an examination is very wrong and it will most likely get you into trouble and therefore I don't advice anybody to try cheating in an examination.
But in another case where it's a once time examination that cost so much, for instance TOEFL I will not like to take any second chance, I will definitely cheat because there's isn't that luxury of waiting money when you will have to pay another for the second examination.
In the university, I made sure I had to cheat my way around because re-siting for an examination puts you in a position where you have to sit down with a junior class when taking the examination.

I would rather burn the midnight oil than cheating in exams.(^^)
At least I did it with my all efforts not to fooled others and played cheat just to score the papers. They should feel something if they dare to do so. It is a sin and they should repent for that. If they jsut want to cheat I think they should have to go and attend the school~(^^)
