School Shootings

There seem to be more and more school shootings happening these days. Most recently this morning in Ohio. What are your ideas on how to get this under control? What do you feel you can do to keep your children protected from these violent crimes? I am so scared for my children to start school. I don't know if I should homeschool them or what other routes there are to educate but at the same time protect them. I look forward to the responses on this.
