I know I should have started this years ago but honestly just didn't have the patience for all the research that I would have to do find out where my family come from and why. I started back when my daughter was born (18 years ago) but with everyday life getting in the way I just put it all to the side and haven't really thought about until my grand-daughter was born. Now that my mother and father are gone and a lot of others that would be real helpful in finding out some information, I really wish that I had just done it. I have gotten a lot of information but some is/will be lost forever I guess but I have hit a brick wall with some information only to get answers to that and hit another wall, I'm not sure I'll have the patience for these kinds of brick walls but at the same time, I really want to know, I'm just so tired of getting just enough information on relatives to keep me frustrated and wanting to quit.

I started to do some family research a couple of years ago, soon after my husband started looking into his genealogy and such. Although he's had a lot more patience for it, and has done a lot more work into it than I have. It's something that I want to continue doing, as I find that it's really interesting to find out more about my family, where they come from, what they did, and such.

wow, I am also doing it again right now, before it is too late... Doing Genealogical work requires a lot of time effort patience and perseverance, kinda tiring and boring hobby but in the process yuo find it interesting knowing your relatives and ancestors, its a wonderful feeling and it is rewarding... I have completed i have completed 4 generations already with some important dates, and i'm starting organizing my compilations, i start again asking the Family Group Record of my parent's siblings as well as my cousins, i Don't knw if you are familiar with Pedigree Chart and FGR?... Well, if you ask, there's a center that can help you further your family history work, if you are an LDS i'm sure that you know that Family History Center can help you, and the New.Familysearch.org can really help you a lot...

The eldest sister in my family did this a long time ago and actually asked me to continue and republish and encode it in a software so as to preserve it in a different media but I couldn't do as told because I found it very tiring. It was a very long list and my sister was able to find out a lot, until all the from the era when our country was still under Spanish colony, and that was like 300 or more years ago. I am glad, however that this has been done. This could help us trace a lot of roots and even help explain a lot about our family traits. I do hope I can come up with enough strength and materials to continue this and encode it into a good software. Maybe you could ask help from old people you know from your place, most especially those who are related to you. It would also be easier to have a partner to do this with, dividing labor and multiplying results. Good luck and more power!

Hi there ladylonewolf, Nice project, i would also like to do this of course with the help of my only remaining grandparent my grandfather on my father's side and my aunt and mother on my mother's side, this is very important so that you can know were you came from and give your respects from the those whom have made a mark on your existence. Thanks for the idea.
