The average one respondent posted is correct, for a standard writer. When you are working for pennies, we pros call it slave writing or the slush pile-- no offense intended. As to your grammar and syntax--yes, you need help. Cheer up, thanx 2 txting most peeps do lol.
If you have MS Word on your computer, take the free 30 days to better English class, as explained by Chrystalia, guru of the keyboard LOL:
For the next thirty days, copy and paste EVERYTHING you write, even posts here-- or write them first in MS Word, and run them through the spelling and grammar check. READ everything Word tells you when it suggests a correction. I can guarantee that if you do this, your writing will improve about 100%. You will note that I write well. This comes from a lot of practice, and even so, MS Word will occasionally catch a syntax error in my articles.
If you want to write as a career, as I do, you have to LEARN how to write! Check out all my other posts on this subject here on MyLot. I make 3000.00 per month, working 30-35 hours a day. It only took me 2 months to break 1000.00 for the first time, but I had the advantage of knowing how to write when I started. I needed to learn how to write for the Web-- no Pandas, No Penguins, 100% copyscape passed.
ANYONE CAN DO WHAT I DO IF YOU PRACTICE :-)))). Yes, that goes for non-English speakers, too. Don't sell yourself short.

I have been going back and forth through your profiles and following all your responses to discussions you make, as it is encouraging and promising when it comes to writing, that is the only topic I find that you comment or respond well too, it is you field, it is infact you sitting room.
I have sent you a friend request and would like to talk to you about inproving my writing skills, I took a long break and now get scared of writing all different topics like I used to do in the past. I find myself lacking in the research aspect because it has been long. Hope we can can talk and you give me some hints on how to improve my research skills.

Work up to see you have commented back here, anywher am so happy you have decided to share some keys facts with me, moreso advice me.
Would want you to know I will take action right away and today being saturday, I will try to focus on taking up more jobs but I don't know which other sites, that is similar to iWriter, it is 3am your time when I posted this hope to get some chores right at the moment then get back to the internet.
For now am using my mobile device, that is why 30-3d in my above post got to be, you know it was suppose to be 30-35 because that is how long you work a month. I use my mobile for everything now, I wrote my first article on iWriter with it, post here with it, just can't afford internet bills, hope my this month end that would be a forgone story of my life.
My head kind of hurts right now, so I can function well, need to get some rest but how can I, I had a late night, was up till 2am trying to get to understand some things about iWriter and research skills for articles.
Would like you to tell me, what a resource box is, because when I view articles posted by requesters which I could take up and available, the requesters sometimes say keywords shouldn't be used in the article but should be in the resource box. I don't understand that and don't want to ask the requester as I might end up not writing the article.
Hope you can help on this.

It would depend on how long the article is. How many lines or words? Is it 50 words or 200 words? 5 lines or 50 lines? That makes a difference.
Also, is there other compensation after the initial 10 or 15 cents? Is there pay per views?

A paragraph can be only two or three sentences long. So 15 cents for 9 sentences is not bad.
After my last response, I thought about my own creative writing. I am on Triond among other sites. I have several articles on Triond. Each article took me between one and two hours to write. I have never counted my words on these articles but I would guess they are between 200 and 400 words. I have earned only one or two cents for some of these articles. Of course, I might earn more in the future. But I would love to get 10 to 15 cents per article on Triond.

.10 cents is too low. .10 cents per word is okay, but that can be gained only in print media in most cases. Can you tell me why your friend need these articles? Is it for his blog? Your friend wants you to write as he may be in need of articles on a topic that you might be expert in. Your friend might be okay with the poor grammar,as he may be willing to edit it later. I guess, he is paying so low so that he could get decent profit with others work. Ask him to pay more and you can try writing few articles for him.

Depends on how long the article would have to be. If just a few lines then no it is not low. We type here and make less and sometime the post here a real long. I like it here though. Less stress...lol

It's still quite low for that size. If the article is high quality, and written in good English with acceptable grammar, it should be maybe a buck or two for that many paragraphs. There are lots of variables that change the price, there isn't really a set amount per paragraph.

Absolutely appalling wages, assuming they're 500-word articles. That price would pay for 2-3 words for me (or maybe 5 if I liked you). Heck, you can get work on iWriter with a crap rating that pays more than that and iWriter's the epitome of content mill work. You can get more than that on tasking sites, even.
Slave wages, avoid at all costs.
The easiest way to work out your pay, by the way, is to work backwards from an hourly rate. If you want $5, $10 or $50 an hour, work out how long it takes you to write a good article. For most people it's 30-60 minutes, depending on subject and length. If you can write 2 an hour and they're offering $0.15 an article, you're earning 30 cents an hour. Do you REALLY want to work for that pay?

@mona: We've done this several times before.
Try starting with this one: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2551937.aspx
Or this one: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2554592.aspx
Or this one: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2546370.aspx
@dupremo: That's very kind. I wouldn't say "established" (yet), though it seems to be coming along nicely with the site and forum. Scary thought: I haven't written an article for over a month...! Eek!

You could try changing your target market: 200-300 words is fine for the majority of blogs and bloggers, especially in the commercial/technical niches.

This is an extremely low rate for articles. WJACK is a person in Paysnork who usually tries to rip people off.
Associated Content will pay up to $10 for an article. It's a much higher rate.
The person paying you in Paysnork will most likely just sell your article to Associated Content when he has bought it from you.

Hi Jhovarie, that depends on whether you have to give up the rights to the article.
If your friend is asking you to join sites like Expertscolumn, and you retain the rights to the content, the long term earning per article could exceed a dollar, even though the short term earning is just ten cents to fifteen cents.
Your grammar is good enough for most article sites.
You may like to give it a try, since the requirement is not that stringent, and over the long term, the passive income will add up to a few hundred dollars.
It is definitely better than Mylot, where you do not earn if you stop posting.

It is crazy writing for such low amount of noney if you don't retain the sole rights to your article and can repost elsewhere to earn on other centent mill sites.

I think that is very low. But, what kind of article? I think that will go well for poems. Most ghost writing articles can be bargained for as low as 3 dollars. Triond pays low but when you promote an article there, its earning can increase.

I think my friend you need to try to join. Just think this way, why offering $0.10 to $0.15 per article? As I have remembered, one article with a very good use of english grammar in writing and creative ideas costs more than 5 dollars. Just try to join, maybe someday you will be a good writer. Happy Mylotting.

i don't think it is a low price, although it sounds a little low, but if you write many articles, you will get a good payment. so you don't have to earn a lot of money when you write articles, you can write more to earn more money. you can join it, you can practise your skill of writting and earn some money. good luck!

It is a very little fee. Three lines of a text are about 5 cents.
