calculus definitely is one of the biggest problem of students in our college, (college of engineering). last semester, we had our differential calculus class, when getting our grades, it is like a huge disaster happened to our class/course because from 50 students, we only end to 6 who pass the the subject and now we are only 6 taking the subject integral calculus. now, the final examinations is near and many of us are worried if what will happen to the results. i hope i will pass this subject, i work really hard for this. :) let us pray and let us hope. thanks guys. :) do you know who made this terror subject which makes engineering students go crazy. haha. LOL

It was invented by Leibniz and Newton (probably independently). It is mostly Leibnitz's terminology which is used today. In principle, it is not difficult to understand but in practice there are many techniques and theorems to learn. I can understand that you find it hard! Nevertheless, it is an essential skill to learn if you want to become an engineer.

Don't worry. I think calculus is a problem for almost all engineer students. After all, it will be a good experience for you and all of your friends, for sure. The most important, for me, is to understand the concepts, because the methods to calculate and use it in the real life, you will learn in the rest of the course, the technical subjects. So, focus on your study and try to understand the concept, because not only by good grades lives a good engineer. Happy mylotting and good luck on your tests.
