You got me shocked as well. It's almost unbelievable to learn that you have just found out about leap year. Anyway, it's always better late than never, right? My aunt is actually one of those that was born on February 29, so I guess this year she has the chance to celebrate her birthday again.

I don't know if there would be a big celebration, but I would imagine that there should because of the rarity of the occasion. I probably would not be able to attend if there is going to be a party but if they will celebrate it, I just hope it will be joyous and fun-filled.

I know about it but I lose count not sure this year we are going to have have the 29th day but since I always check the calendar so yes, we are going to have it tomorrow!! I am sure those who born on that day, they have been waiting for this day to come. Once in every four years!!! Remind me of an article from a newspaper four years ago about people who born on 29th Feb and how they feel about it.(^^)

Hello CTHanum, aren't they the onces so lucky knowing that they feel younger than the rest of us. sometimes, in my case it's annoying to spent birthday every year knowing you are really growing older than it should be.

Hi Letran. I came to know thidate sincemy childhood as what I learned and heard if you're short in height and take a leap on this date you'll become taller. That's the reason I can't forget the Feb 29th, because of that joke...

Hi Letran Knight: I have asked myself this question. If my birthday would be on February 29 I could not support this because everybody would forget about my special date. But of course I would celebrate it! My birthday party would be on March 1st obviously and at least my friends should know it ALVARO

Yes LK, I also wonder how they feel to celebrate their birthdays every years. Maybe they'll celebrate it on march 1 if its only 28th days in February. That's no good. Seem so unfair..

Hello Nurseclare, I don't know maybe they still want to celebrate but unfortunately, maybe those who aren't much interested into having party and not the day after their bday. it is fun indeed to have celebration

I was told that people born on this day would celebrate their birthdays every year but on march 1st instead, until the leap year comes around once more. Or it would be cool if they celebrate their birthdays every 4 years....[This year my son is 4, next birthday (in 4 years) he will be 8 LOL] that would be funny!

Hello miijojo1994, Oh, that is so sad, they shouldn't bother themselves celebrating since it's too expensive but i guess it's a disadvantage if you prefer celebrating your bday every year. .

what actually shocked me is to here someone is not aware about the leap year like you. well my eight year old son actually asked me about people born on feb 29 and how they celebrate their birthdays. i just told him that they add a year to their age each year but there are some who only celebrate their birthday every four years. and it happened that we were able to see a show on tv that showcased leaplings. one who celebrates his sixty fifth year this this year had a number sixteen candle on his cake.

Letran, i think people who was born on this special day must be a very special person. Because they only can celebrated their birthday once in every four years. One of my nieces was lucky to be born on this special day. So, her birthday is very special since she can't celebrate it yearly. At least, her parents can celebrate her birthday in a very special way, since it gives them time to collect money as well. How i wish that i am able to get a holiday and visited them today.

I am wondering about their age if they really record it accordingly or they are bias enough of claiming that they are four years younger than the other people who were also born at the same year as theirs. Well it is just funny.

For real you're not aware why February 29 appears every 4 years? I had known this before, Yes their birthday appear every 4 years but it's not something that we should worry about. They can celebrate their birthday on 28th of February or on the 1st of March. We have nothing to do about on that.
