I feel you. I love listening to music, but singing doesn't love. Actually I've written a couple of songs but the thing is it was my friend who've added the melody into it. Now, I'm trying to learn to play the guitar so that in the near future I can add my own melody to mys songs.. :)

hahaha!!! maybe you can start writing again with the melody this time, they say its never too late as long as you're still alive. That is if you have the perfect inspiration.

I do love listening to music. Though, I haven't tried making a song. It seems that i don't have that talent. I like music but the music doesn't like me... hahaha! Even for school projects, I can contribute a phrase or words but cant make a whole song. I leave it to the one who is more talented.

No I haven't thought about it though but like you, I'm a music lover too. From the time I wakes up I turned on the radio to listen to music while having my coffee and at night the earphone is in my ear to help me fall asleep.
Like you I'm a better listener than a singer. Yes, writing your own song could be an achievement but I guess we must at least know how to play any musical instrument or musically incline to do this.

You can "improve" your voice making "gargle" ( i think this is the word, when you try to... clean? your mouth and throat with a liquid) with eggs. So you gargle with an egg and then try to sing. You will se an improvement and you will be able to reach some notes that you were not able to reach. Then you can practice more from it.
Then, you can download programs that helps you to write a song (musically) like guitar pro, or pro tab. Remember that you will need a musical instrument, it's going to be easier :)
Also look for tutorials to read the notes. It will help a lot.
I hope i was helpful.

Yes i try to compose my own song but cut and paste from different songs lyrics and also some tunes in my head from other songs that i like which i sing and whistle when i am alone sad and happy times, usually i forget them but sometime i come crashing back in those sad and happy emotional times, i don really write them down , but if it is good it will be in my mind for long time.

I'm a music lover and won't end a day without listening to music, what ever kind it is.I used to write poems but never tried to convert it into a song cause I don't know how to play instrument that could help making melody for it.

I've written a couple of songs, but for me it's putting a melody to it that's a problem. Poetry would be more my strong point than song writing. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it, but there's a program someone was telling me about ages ago that allowed you to record a verse and a chorus of the song and it would apply the notes. If I'm speaking to that person again I'll ask them what it was for you.

Music is my life, and my passion also. In my childhood i learned music in a music school. I think that if any one learned it for a few days it's help us.
But i don't write a song in my life. But i write many tune.and i love it.
So i think that you learned music for a few days and it's help you definately.

I love music. I've played piano for 7 years (only in high school), clarinet for 10 now, and I've had the pleasure of playing and listening to many different types of music. During my playing, sometimes I would stumble across a little trill of notes or certain pattern as a mistake. Then, using my knowledge of how music is organised, I would take that little 1-2 measure theme and expand on it. This was mostly all improvisation, but I would sometimes record it and really flesh it out.
I've never published one of these before, but I've been working on one recently that I might publish as a solo piano piece.
From what I understand, this is how many artists write music. They will have hours of "jam sessions" where they just experiment around to try to find melodies that are new and sound good, then build off of them with improv and progressions, then later they will sit down and fit everything together.
