Actually they do. Maybe not now, but eventually. It is our final destination so they are not excused.
Okay that's a joke, people might just bash at me for such remark but that was just my attempt at being funny, so please do excuse it, if you didn't find it funny.
We all have heard this line in so many movies, songs, books, friends, and most, if not everyone can relate to this line. For me, I think that what it really means is that no one would ever forget how it feels to love for the first time. There's no denying it. It's the best feeling in the world.
My first love was the longest infatuation I have ever had in my life so far. I met her on the first day of my freshman year in high school. Up until now, I can still remember the very first time I've laid my eyes on her. She was simply irresistible. She has a kind heart, she is funny and pretty, she is to me what a woman should be. I fell in love with her. She was my first love. The only problem, is that she never reciprocated my feelings for her. I wasn't what she was to me. =(
By the end of senior year, we parted ways but remained friends. We didn't really have a chance to catch up with each other as technology back then was primitive (no, I'm not that old, it's just there are no mobile phones yet). I held on to my feelings for her for a very long time, and even when I met other girls, I still think about her from time to time. Up until now, I dream about her a lot, more than I dream about the other girls combined. When I had the chance to talk to a psychologist, she said that it's quite normal that you dream about your first love as they are a fantasy that hasn't been fulfilled, so every once in a while, our subconscious reminds us of them.

So you're still single?Well,I met my first love during the birthday party (that was June 23,2002) of a common friend when I was in 2nd year high school.By October of the same year,I was slowly giving him hints that I have feelings for him.By December,we both confessed that we had feeling for each other but he's just not ready.As years passed we just remained friends because he won't admit that he has feelings for me even if other people can already tell so I just left him be.Now,we both have happy relationships of our own.To add to this,it took me 7yrs to forget him even if I already had a boyfriend (now my ex)that time.

It surely did for me. After (7) seven years of utter nonesense, I can honestly say I'm glad it did. I can wholly and solely give my heart to and appreciate my current relationship with a guy who is indeed a gem, rather than wallow in my first love who isn't worth the air I breathe.

Well I agree. Most of the times, that's what first love turns out to be-- something that started it all and lead to the one we currently have or just about to have. First loves are those that teaches us to be strong, to be on our guard, to learn from our own mistakes, and to get back up. As I said in my post, it's not really that the love still is in your heart, it's just that the feeling it brought, the excitement, the joys, the fun, the thrills, even the hurt will forever remain familiar.

wew..first love, ha? LOL..I'm sorry if I started my response by laughing. I don't mean to be rude but talking first love is quite funny for me. you may believe it or not that actually I never felt first love. as far as I remembered I never got a first love. or maybe I who don't understand what first love is? LOL. of course I ever fell in love with a guy but I didn't notice which was my first love. so it's difficult for me to say whether I had first love or not. but I could tell you my very memorable love story of mine. I ever like a guy (boy at that time, cos we're still 14). he's so smart and very sweet. I like him during my school time but we never had date cos I think we were too shy to have a date. days went by. we met again when we were in a college, and I think we were mature enough to have serious relationship. so we finally became a couple. though we ended our relation after several years together, but it was my very memorable love story. but I don't think it's my first love. but who cares?

Its qiute a very common experience for most people although not to all. Some may have experience such feeling usually at a young age and in different cases some have tired expressing their feelings to the other but was the feeling was not mutual with the other and in some cases people also tried holding in their feelings and never got the change to express what they feel. After several years have passed like in your case, different people would also have different perspectives regarding the situation. Some would experience the same thing as you do and others would feel like they have grown up and just think they they might have been to young in the past to know what true love really is.

Oh, I did move on. She's married and with two lovely kids. I'm no longer hoping, I'm just reminiscing. I think whenever I think of her, it's involuntary. I don't look forward to a day when she would finally see me as I saw her. There's nothing like that here. =D

I will always remember my first love, as I was in love with him for many years during my teenage life. I remember trying to change myself to please him, and he was never interested in me. He moved away from town for a couple of years, but has recently moved back, and I saw him again for the first time since he left just last week as it happens. It was odd, because in a way it brought a lot of thoughts and feelings flooding back from the past, which is something that I thought I had left behind. So, I think that I will be trying to avoid him most of the time from now on.

Really nice to know that we able still remember our first love but sooner or later when you found the one who is really meant for you and gives you a greatest love more than you felt before you may tend to forget your first love and you just want always remember your greatest love which your present. Hope you will able to find that love soon.. Happy mylotting..
