I love my family for teaching me this really important lesson.
Since I was a little boy, my father took me with him and showed me almost everything he knows. He works with all kind of tools, so I guess it was really a good thing to teach me how to handle them, like a man.
Have you noticed that children that are born in rich families, and they parents do not teach them the value of work, tend to be more arogant and disrespectful, than those who are put to "work" from a young age?
It is really important, not to put your children to work all day, but just a little, to be something of a bourden for them, but not for a long time, and that way they learn taht nothing comes easy in life, and you have to apreciate everything.

I have also experienced what you have been through because my father thought me how to do little things when I was still young. We are thought how to make anything as long as it was all proper in the eyes of the people. My parents thought us how to be independent and how to become a responsible citizen.
