I always believed in prayers. It's my way of talking to God personally, lifting all my desires to Him and entrusting to Him whatever my immediate needs for the moment. I tell you, God always answer my prayers though they are not always what I want but an answer that made me who I am according to my life's purpose. How about you? Are all your prayers answered too?

Have you read the Bible?
I am not really religoius, yet I have read this book, and it was really interesting.
Also, when I've read it I was paying attention, and I have learned taht God does not want you to believe in Him for him to offer you pleasures in this life.
The Bible reffers always to the benefits you will have AFTER this life. After you die. Like eternal life and happines.
There is not a simgle paragraph in the Bible that says: "God said: Praise me and I will give you a brand new horse/camel/donkey". The meanings are always in plain sight, but you have to pay attention.
Also, I've lost my appetite for going to church when I've noticed that in the middle of the service a man walks through the Church, collecting money for "the Church". What is up with that? did God sent him to collect money for His home? Since then I never stepped into a Church. I will pray at home, if I have to, and maybe at my marriage I will go again. Not any other time.
And the thing with the money collecting is in every church in my country, not just his one that I was going to.

I agree with you winston. God answer our prayers with the intention to make us a humble person, not proud or haughty. However, a tithe is also stated in the Bible that we are supposed to give 10% of our income. A man going through the middle of the service collecting money, is just collecting our tithes. For the Catholics, anyone who attends is not oblige to give. It is just voluntary, depending on how much you can share to the church unlike other religion where everybody is mandatory to give 10% of their income. As for me, I tried to give what I supposed to give. Everytime I received my salary, I usually separate the 10%,thank God for it and placed it in an envelope. It is where I get money for the tithe and for alms giving. I tell you, since I practiced it, "my cup runneth over" out of God's abundance and blessings.
