Well both are obviously used by many people. And barring the part that I actually find Twitter kind of useful many times and find Facebook to be personally repugnant, and responsible for at least 14 percent of the problems in society, I think that Twitter is on the upswing. Facebook really has peaked in a number of ways. There will be new users always, there will be users getting off, but Twitter is the hotter new thing, where Facebook is the old new thing.
But then again, both of them might just be a distant memory in a few years. Trends rather go fast. Social networking will have something cool and new that could potentially blow both Facebook and Twitter into the past. It is just the way things tend to roll. I think that Facebook might have reached its peak or is rather close, where Twitter does have a bit more of an upswing to it.

Both sites are growing exponentially. In my opinion, though, Twitter is growing a little bit more. More users are signing up daily than Facebook, and I believe the total users for Twitter will eventually overtake Facebooks. When watching TV, you hear 'tweet me' 'follow me' or 'hashtag' from celebrities or people on TV more than Facebook. I also believe the UI is so much easier to understand on twitter than Facebook. There are less options, but you still have everything you need to optimize your experience. That's my opinion, anyway.

I think facebook grows much faster than the twitter. Facebook has so many applications when comparing to the twitter. More over facebook is used by all kinds of peoples where twitter is used only by celebrity peoples. Facebook is easy to share the videos and photos in the same page and its more user friendly than twitter.

i would say both sites are a great success and are growing at a rapid speed and i would say that they both have the same amount of members as each other because i know alot of people on my facebook and they also have twitter me i think having more then one profile at different places is a waste of time so i just keep it simple and stay with facebook.
