what is the best web development scripting language among php and python?

im not sure if we can use python to create a website because last time i try python its it is for software development then i stop learning it.
for me php is the best web development scripting language because it is majority use and you can see a lot of website created using php another reason why i like php is that php is portable you can run it in any operating system unlike ASP just for window.

We can use python just like perl for website through common gateway interface (cgi)... check Django framework for example (i never use it, i just know it).

i worked on django and i felt that django is better than using php web frameworks...

Maybe for performance python is a lot better than php, but for a small website who usually rent a shared hosting service, python usually don't available... that's why i think for most people php is more comfortable than python.

i think both language are great, but i prefer php over python because many web hosting supported it, while i see that some web hosting don't provide python in their hosting, specially the cheap package that their offer.

I suggest using Php because it is much easy than python. I love using coed using Php and quite simple. You can try Ppp as your code language.
