HELP! Internet Security Virus! Please... Help!

On my moms laptop... it has the Internet Security virus, it keeps popping up saying I have viruses. I can't open anything! I have AVG installed on it, but I can't open it... or any internet browsers. I try to boot in safe mode, but it won't boot in safe mode.
I don't know what to do! Please, help! What do I do!?

Burn a virus cleaning CD with another computer. Most antivirus applications have an option to create "rescue disks" or something like that. They're bootable, so you should be able to start the laptop from one of those and clean it.

I don't even have a blank CD, or quite know how to burn one either. 
Ugh... why does my computers keep getting these viruses despite me having virus protection (AVG) and running scans, and updating regularly?

do you mean your laptop got hang? just try to reboot the laptop and if the internet security software keep popping up the alert, just try to disable that for a moment. and then try to use another antivirus to scan and clean that viruses. i guess the errors is came from your internet security software, not the laptop. good luck

I have a virus. It will not allow me to disable the alerts... and I cannot even open my Antivirus to scan and remove the virus!
The "Internet Security" that keeps popping up is a well-known virus.

restart you computer in safe mode and try to run your antivirus and run a full scan on your computer.

My friend you have a big problem in your hands, nothing that you try with antivirus will work. You need to reinstall or make a clean install of the operating of your choice. I had the same problem I try everything my partner suggest me to format disk and clean installed and I would listen. I had to do it fortunately I kave the tools and the knowledge to do it. The virus hijack all programms and access to the internet it leaves it with no choice but to start from scratch.
