Okay, so it's that time of year again. Dancing With The Stars just announced the new line up for the Spring 2012 season. Scheduled to premier on March 19, 2012.
And the Contestants are:
Donald Driver (Green Bay Packer) - Partner Peta Murgatroyd
Gavin DeGraw (Popstar) - Partner Karina Smirnoff
Gladys Knight (Singer) - Partner Tristan MacManus
Jack Wagner (Soap Star) - Partner Anna Trebunskaya
Jaleel White (Actor) - Kym Johnson
Katherine Jenkins (Soprano's) - Mark Ballas
Maria Menounos (Hollywood's Hottest Host) - Partner Derek Hough
Martina Navratilova (Tennis) - Partner Tony Dovolani
Melissa Gilbert (Little House Legend) - Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Roshon Fegan (Disney Star) - Partner Chelsie Hightower
Sherri Shepheard (The View) - Partner Val Chmerkovskiy
All I can say is Wow!!! This should be an interesting season. I am really excited to see how Jaleel (Best know as Steve Urkel from Family Matters) does. I wonder if he is going to dress up as steve Urkel for any of his dances. Because that would be completely hilarious.

It is funner to watch if you know the people. But I get tired of the winners being voted for because of who they are, not how well they danced. I haven't been watching the last few, but this one I know some of htem and they are a good cast.
Well, make the list shorter..the ones I know and will enjoy watching are
Gladys Knight - love her music
Jack Wagner - hot hunky soap actor...Frisco Jones!
Jaleel White (Steve Erkel, remember?!)
Melissa Gilbert - nice to see her back!
Sherri Shepard - loved her in Less than Perfect..she is a hoot!!!
Never heard of the others. But it is always interesting to watch the huge, hunky sport guys do all these intrigat, sensefive, light stepping dances!

I agree with you. DWTS is always a lot funner if you know most of the people on the show. I also don't like the fact that most seasons it comes down to being a popularity contest. Which is one of the reasons that I haven't watched the show the past couple of seasons.
It seems we know the same people, but I imagine those people are going to be known by a lot of people. I can't wait to start watching.

The only celebrity contestant I am interested in is Maria Menounos; all the others I either haven't heard of or I'm just not that interested in watching them compete. The only other interest I have in the show is to see the co-host and former winner Brooke Burke. I may watch part of the second hour of the first episode tonight but there are other things on at the same time that will keep me from watching the first hour.
