Do You Own More Than One Personal Mobile Phone?

No one in our country will ever admit that they have money to spare-- it is the recession. I did ask one of my friends. But wait till you see his mobile phones, iPhone 4, Blackberry Bold, Samsung Galaxy S II to the nth. Oh, did I mention that's just one person with 3 mobile phones? I just say "sure." A lot of people in our country has lots of complaints about high prices of commodities, foods, clothes and other essential stuff. However, when the latest release of mobile phones come up, they couldn't wait to line up on the stores, no matter how much the price is. They would owe money to get the latest, trendiest, most envy-some phone.
But then again, there are others who use the low-ends, but still they own more than one. I cannot blame them. Mobile networks in our country have unlimited calls and unlimited texts, for as long as it is in the same network. You get charged when you text or call other networks (although nowadays there are some cross-network promotions already in place). It can't be helped. Not all people is on the same network, and in the past if they are subscribed to an unlimited call and text plan, they won't bother replying to other networks because they'll get charged. This is why some people get more than one mobile phone-- so that they can use the same network number as the person they are texting or calling.

Yes I have two phones the one is smart phone that I can access to the internet because it has a wi-fi features. The other one is for my family use I have a plan subscription for I can monitor my kids and my parents. I don't usually spend to much on my phones, because in my plan subscription I have a minimum amount text for other networks for free. And unlimited call to same network.

Hi
That all three phones are too expensive. I mean if its just because people having more networks then why they go for such expensive one..
I guess its because of latest smart phones. Many people are just being crazy behind this technology and I will admit that I am too..
But I am having two phone, one is iphone and another one is quite cheap. I have two for reason. I used to connect internet through my mobile in my laptop, so I am using my iphone for for this option and multimedia option. And another phone is just for calling purpose.

I do but the other one is just my mother's scrap so she gave it to me because it's still functional so i'm happy because I've got 2 phones now but I think it's more practical if I just use a dual sim phone.

I have 2 phones, but I use only one as the other one is not an active phone. Sisnce I am the only person in my house, I don't need to use more than one phone, at a time. You are right, that having more than one and using them all, seems to be alright for some but others, it just isn't feasible. I feel that using more than one phone as far as I am concerned just isn't feasible. It doesn't make sense to keep buying phones just to get the latest and greatest phone, which I like to do do, but I don't do it every month or every few months, as it just gets to expensive. I am glad that I do have a smartphone though as I use quite a few of the features of the phone, like the internet and such. I use my phone for talking everyday, so to be without any phone at all would be hard as that is my one way of communicating with my family, besides the computer. thank you for this discussion as it is a good one and a pleasure to respond to. Take care, and have fun mylotting.

To be honest here, i must sincerely say that i have more than one mobile phone but only one is high end which is even an older edition, it is a blackberry 9630 and the other phone is a small Nokia radio fone to help me get informed when am on the road. I don't have any reason to use more than two but one thing that makes me use two phones is because mobile network providers are strict here in my countries and you can only enjoy low tariff when you call people on the same network such as yourself, so calling your friends on a different network isn't so every now and then you need another phone for a random ca to all networks

My sister in law has more than one phone but at least it is not high end and yet she is using that in business as part of important matters. Of course it has something to do with the network as well so that it will save the budget more and more.
I really find it funny for those people who are complaining of being skint to the extent that they are blaming the economy and the government. But look they have so much luxury things that they can even travel around the world every now and then to the extent that they are already bragging then they will put down other people who lacks finances just because they are using it for important needs.

Yes, In fact I have two mobile phone now. One is for my personal use, this is the one I use to communicate with my friends and to my relatives. One is for meant for tweeting. I purchased the latter one because the other phone of mine can't be registered to tweet. I also plan to use this phone of mine for loading business.

Hi almightybong,
I do have more than one personal mobile phone but only recently. Normally I'd have a phone for a decent length of time (say, a year at least) before replacing it with another. I'm on Pay As You Go so don't get free upgrades like some contract customers do. So I've always had the one phone on the go with the one number until the end of 2011.
I now have two, the secondary phone is the one in which my ex uses to contact me and to call our son when he is with me. I was getting a lot of nonsense texts that I just had to keep my 'main' phone for everyone else but him because it was doing my head in.

I only have one mobile phone,it is the same phone that I brought about 6 years ago and that was my first phone. Its bulky, you can only text and take calls on it, no camera or anything, but it does me just fine and I shall keep it for many years to coem as I don't use it very often, I have pay as you go and rarely need ot put credit on it

No. I have only one phone. I think every man have only a phone, not more than one. Because, in our country, many peoples who are not eat sufficient food. Many families suffering a great problem in our country.
So i think those people are have a phone. They didn't buy other mobile phone. They would send their money to a trusty.

I know a guy who's got like 4 different phones. Two are for showing off to girls and other guys too, one for social networks especially for facebook and one more for texting. It's really weird to see the guy take out , what seems like endless amounts of phones, from his pockets and do something with them. But, what you said is right. People do complain about inflation and yet, they all seem to have the latest in technology. I just have one and I'm happy with it, it's not even a smart phone and I don't care. :) What about you, how many phones do you have?
