I still thinking most of people who resign and move to other company having financial problem, means they found company with better salary than existing. However, there are also many reason to quit not because of money issue. My friend just resigned recently with other than money issue, he got more challenging job that more match with his niche and educational background, other has family problem and another friend has problem with his boss..how about you? Have you ever quit a job with other than money matters?

I had quit one job because it conflicted with school. I was wokring on my bachelor's degree at the time and I had specifically asked for a day off because I had two finals in the same day and needed time to study for both. My boss had asked me what was more important my part-time job or my schooling. I said that my schooling needs to come first. I hated to quit, but I had to because my schooling was more important and the job was only a part-time thing.

well, you have good points brother…I have taken new opportunity to move to new company, not only because the grass looks greener but really has career move compare with my existing company..There will always be challenging and many obstacles every where we working but that was common and we should not be afraid to decide to quit…If money is not the reason then job satisfaction and boredom feeling could be the better judgments as well… appreciate your response…

i think it is usual reason and all company realize it.. the time always give many challenges and it need the better payment every month.. so when you had more qualification to be working in company which giving you better salary, why you dont take the chance?? like our country proverd, the chance maybe never come second..so use it when the first comes to you

Well, that was really good reason . We will never know when we will get better job with better career exposure.. I have also got new job with better career even the salary not so much has increment than previous company. However, we should develop and learn our selves. It will be great to have self satisfaction and able to moving forward rather than stacked in one company for long time..Understand, in this economic downturn era.. really not easy to find new job but there always new opportunity for every one… appreciate your response…

There have been a total of three jobs that I've quit in my life and the reason that I quit all of them had nothing at all to do with financial issues. The reason that I left the first job was because my daughter was born and I wanted to be able to stay at home with her. The second job I left was because I was injured at work and actually went to another job that paid a little bit less but was a whole lot more flexible. The final job that I quit was when my son was born and at that point in time it would have cost us more for me to work than we were losing by my opting to be a stay at home mother.

i quit my job before because of the problem of the company and that my husband too because he had to take the board examination. but then we have returned to the company again and things were okay. honestly, i love my company but i hated the people here. why? because they act more superior than the owner and they have cram=b mentality. they will pull you down especially when they are seeing you up. so i told my manager i want to resign but he said don't. but the truth is, with all the stress and pressure around i really want to resign. i am looking for a job now and hopefully i can leave my company for my own peace of mind.

I have not such a experience but i think there may be cases like quitting a job because of interpersonal allies and disputes within your workgroup besides financial matters. Money is not all we care about in our lives. There are many other attributes we regularly search and dream about to be present in our lifestyle and profession.

I tend to stay in one job for a long time. The only two times I had to resign are because I moved overseas. I worked for an international company in the States and when I resigned they even tried to place me in one their company in the country where I moved to. I ended up working for a different company, however, because of location.

Yes I did quit a job for other reasons aside from financial issues. First, I quit a job because I am not happy anymore with how the company runs things. The boss' usually favors those who are close to them. Some of the boss promoted some of their drinking buddies even though those people are well-known for being absent, or they are doing a lot of hocus pocus on their job. The second one is because of health issue. My husband and I wants to have a second baby already. So he asked me to quit and just find a homebased job that isn't giving me too much stress.

I quit my job so I can start my own business and focus on it. I can't work under other people forever. Not to mention, I will have more time for my family. Before this, I need to rush to work and spend 5 days working. Sometimes I need to go on weekend as well. Then I also brought the work home so I could finish it. It's depressing and like I don't have a life but working.

No I still don't quit in my present job right now even though our company was encountering a lot of problems financial and lot of us employees are affected, our other incentives are not being paid, even salaries of other employees like the Managers and Contractual. But despite of all, I'm not still quitting in my present job but instead I look for another job - part time job. Which I'm enjoying it right now because the services and products we offer are unique.

hi, actually it happened to me to my previous work,i resigned because of my valid reason,it because i dont like my co-workmate their, they always do gossip and the most was the crab-mentality,because that is the most i really hate in a company,so its better to find another company without this kind of co-worker.

Well, maybe he should asked you the real reason when you sleeping..I have friends who also get caught by his boss, taking nap during a meeting. But he asked him gently and my friend explained that he has taken medicine and could not stand to wake up. His boss asked him to took a rest at home then.. However, we should not force our selves to work if we find unhealthy or taking medicines since it will be dangerous also if we driving to our office..appreciate your response…

I quit my job a year ago cause i am no longer happy working with the company although i got a good paycheck every month. Issues with superior is the main factor actually, I just can't afford seeing his face everyday and all the evil doings he did. If i have known how happy and at peace I am since the time i left my job then i should have done quitting my job long ago and spare myself from those long years of agony with my devil boss.

I quit my job because I want to focus on my children and be with them at home. When I was working I used to leave them to our neighbor where in I'm not sure how they was treated. I want to take care of them personally now as what a mother should do.

When I was working I used to pay for baby sitter plus my daily transportation allowance is equivalent to my salary. I realize that my earned money just end up paying someone to watch my kids so I quit. My husband's income is not that enough for us so I'm trying to find ways to generate income without leaving my children at home.

yes! recently i resigned to my job, because the medical director forced us to work 12hours without overtime pay. we nurses are not robots, we really got exhausted to a long work dealing to our patients conditions. thats why i resigned.

Well, I understand your reason.. sometimes our boss never bother or worried about the welfare of the employee..Those 12 hours without overtime pay is consider unmoralle…they should realize that working in medical area is really critical not only for workers but also for their customer as well…I think the only problem they found is about the money but if customer has problem than it will be problem and even able to close the clinic. appreciate your response…

Im still in my present work, but if that's happen i wanted it because i want to try another career, to challenge myself and to know how far i can go. And i'm thinking about that now, but i need also some time to think and to know what would be the consequences and new challenges that i will encounter. But furthermore, i'm looking forward to the good side and to improve myself more.

I just resigned because I transferred to my classmate and do the magazine for the layout. Though I have this regret that I shouldn't resign because it was a freelance not a regular job that I am employed.

Maybe when you can't handle the enviroment or you have bad blood with someone there. The important is to check how much you can take, if it is too much no money in the world is worthed going everyday to a place you feel bad.

It is true, not all people who leave there previous work is not money. Like me, I didn't left because of money. The reason why I left my work before is due to my work environment. Well, it's a long story. :)
