My summer vacation is now set. Yipee!! For the first week of April, we will go to a province far far away from where I am now. We will take a plane to go there then bus when we go home. I've been there actually for 3 summers already and I think I will be there for the rest of the summers
It's my fiance's hometown and there are lots of places to visit there no matter how many times you went there. It's a cool place, a modernized city yet still with a typical province look. After staying there for 5 days, we will go back to my hometown to celebrate my mother's birthday then have a trip somewhere around there. Hope the last part will happen. I wanted to try Zipline. Anyone here who have tried it? I think it's so awesome, it's like you're flying but I don't know if I can take the fear of height or the feeling of being slide down fast.
Is it too early to plan for summer? Do you have your plans now? Please share some of it. We might try it too this summer! Thanks!

I want to go see my family in Virginia and Tennessee this summer, but I am not sure that I will be able to afford to go if gas keeps increasing in price here. I am hoping that prices do not go over $5.00 per gallon like they are predicting.

I haven't made any plans yet for summer.
That's because until now, here in our province it always rains every now and then. But of course, once summer is already starting , i would like to make also some plans for the whole family this summer.
Of course, one of those will be swimming on the beach and staying overnight at the resort. For the office, of course our summer outing.
Oh, summer indeed makes us so happy!

I also don't like it when it rains.
In our neighborhood, the road going to the main one where we get our jeeps to work, becomes muddy every time it rains. My in-laws have been trying to complain it to the mayor, since the barangay captain isn't doing anything to solve it, but they always forget to.
But other than that, it's hard to be walking in the rain even if you have an umbrella, because you will more or less be wet.
I love it when it's sunny.

I suggest that God should make it drizzle at least every night or some time in the afternoon to accommodate the rainfall during rainy season. hehe. I even experienced walking in the flood during the typhoon Sendong. That was horrible walking in the flood with the road so dark.

Yes, summer is really fun!
And after summer, it's rainy season again and I super hate it. Going to work, fighting with the wind, arguing with the rain and complaining of your wet clothes.
I never tried going to work on a rainy season with dry clothes. They're always always wet....and it's so embarrassing and irritating.
...Why not drizzle every now and then? Just don't pour on heavy rain in one time.

Wow..sounds like you have a funfilled summer planned! I have thought on and off about a summer vacation but if the gas here goes up like they say it is going to, I might be doing some nice things here at home again. I was kinda wanting to go to the beach this year. I might still yet though.

Just like the other lotter told me, that the gas price will increase so she is hesitant to go on a long journey for vacation. Gas prices are increasing everywhere, even here. And they're also planning on increasing the fare for transport vehicles. How come all the other things increase their prices yet our salary isn't?
That's too bad.

Well, Indonesia has only two seasons, Dry season (April - October) and Wet season (October - April), so really almost everyday is a summer for us. Our holidays are based on religion's holidays. Indonesia acknowledged several religions so we divide them in a year calendar. So, no Summer nor Spring holidays, here. We can plan to visit people at different cities or islands in Indonesia on our religion holidays but it's not what normally happened. Being on a religion holiday, we shall go to church or mosque or temple in our hometown to pray and only a few days left for sightseeing (wherever is available).
Ugh, why do I sound complaining? I wants to experience Summer holidays, I guess...
Anyway, enjoy your trip and holidays with your fiance.

Don't you like it? You said everyday is summer in your place. We also have two seasons like yours but usually summer lasts only for 3-4 months because of early rainy season. This April, we have a long holiday because of Holy Week and another holiday the day after so we have lots of time to relax. It's getting sooner.. I'm excited.

Was he really your bestfriend? Hmmmm, just kidding. I have been there 5 years ago when me and my mom had a vacation there. We went to Disneyland and other places there. We also went to Macau and China. Actually, that was a tour package that includes 3 countries together with the Hotel and transport services. It's fun to visit foreign land because you get to see some of their culture in reality. Have time to visit Macau. Enjoy your vacation!! That kind of yours is really exciting. I know you're thinking of packing your luggage already.

Whoah! I tried entering and gambling in a Casino here in the Philippines.
~and it wiped out my allowance! Went on a diet for weeks because my money was gone.
Such a bad idea to enter there. I was hooked and the others are counting chips (lots of chips), so I joined, then got lost. The last time was really my last. It was very unlucky day for me.

Hehe I get that a lot but yes we are just best friends. We grew up together and I have known him for almost forever now hehe! Yah I have heard Macau is a really lovely place and is widely famous for the casinos there. Would definitely visit there too if I have enough cash hehe!

Hi adnileb!
That place sounds great! Where is that? I have always wanted to try the zip line. We went to Club Manila East last year but I wasn't able to try it because there were just too many people in the line! I also want to experience how it feels to feel like flying.
This summer, we are planning to go to Anawangin Cove. It's an island at Zambales. It's not popular like Boracay and Bohol but I've seen pictures and the scenery were great! I love the beach and I would just love to camp at night and start a bonfire. I've been to an island before (Hundred Islands at Pangasinan) but it wasn't an overnight stay so this will be new to me. I'm already excited! ^^

I've heard a lot of resorts already have zip lines. Just like the two famous resorts at Batangas although I forgot the names of the resorts.
There's always a rumor like that in many places. There's a rumor like that in our town, too. They say Laguna Lake takes a soul every year. It's a superstition but yeah, we are careful, too. There's no harm being careful.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will ask the boatman about Potipot Island.

There's a zipline in Ilocos Norte and there's one in Bataan too. But I haven't tried the one in Bataan although that's my province.
I know Anawangin Cove, yes it's popular here (I'm from Olongapo) and they say it's dangerous to go there. Only when you're restless maybe. They say many people are being drowned there. Hope nothing will happen when you will be having your vacation there. Just take care.
Good to hear you've been to Hundred Islands already. That's my mother's province but I haven't seen it yet.
When you will go to Anawangin, you might want to visit Potipot Island too. It's just near the cove via boat. Anyways, a boat will tour you around the Island if you want to. Enjoy!

I don't think it is too soon to begin planning the summer. Trying a zip line will be ever so exciting for you I believe. I haven't ever tried that but I have enjoyed para sailing a few times. I love the feeling of flying just like a bird although I do need to feel safe.
I will be celebrating Mother's Day and my mother's birthday in March. In April it is my older son's birthday. In May it is my disabled son's birthday. Then in June it is my daughter's birthday. I am planning some days out this summer like I did last year. I have booked a trip to Argentina and Chile in March and April.
I hope that you will have a fantastic summer this year with all of your lovely plans.

Wow, that’s a monthly and month-long celebration of birthdays. Don't you like to celebrate them all at once? Like make a GRAND celebration for all of them. But yes, it won't be much exciting for the celebrant.
Zipline is becoming famous here in the Philippines and they are inventing more and more adventures to do every summer. I haven’t tried para sailing yet because it’s expensive for me. There’s one thing I’d love to try, jetski. Every time we go home from work, we ride a ferry and I can see other people riding a jetski and it’s really cool. Some also para sailing. I really wish I can try them some time.
Have a nice day ahead!

Hmmmm, I don't think you'll be needing that much to have a vacation. You can have a vacation even though you are just staying at home. Maybe you can go to the nearest beach with a low cost and bring you the foods you usually eat for your breakfasat up to dinner. You can go there with your family and have a bonding together. Some things need not to be expensive. Happiness is priceless. You just have to know how to deal with things the easy and cheaper way. Hope you will find time to enjoy this summer!
Have a nice day!

Lucky? Of course, I am lucky! But he's much luckier to have me!
They say it's too early to start planning for vacation but if you're much excited, you can do it now. (woot) If it's planned, it's organized and we have to book as early as January for the plane ticket going there so it won't be sold out. I have actually planned some of my activities for the whole year because of the 2012 Planner I got from a fastfood chain. I got it for free for purchasing a certain amount of orders. And I filled that out last December and I'm so excited upon filling-up the month of April. It's like making the days pass by faster than ever.
Have a nice day ahead!

Pleasant day to you too, aira.
You got it right! That's my name, Belinda.
Wow, you should have gone there last February for the Panagbenga. It's an awesome festival. Have you seen that before? I studied there and misses Baguio so much. So sad I wasn't able to make it last month.
Enjoy your stay there and keep on taking pictures. Haha! It's so awesome.
You're going to Seoul? Spring is just around the corner in Korea, don't you wanna try going there in winter? It must be very cold. I wanna try it sometimes but too far just to try the snow feeling.
You're lucky you can go that far. Was it your mom's business trip? A package tour? Or just a vacation? I'm so excited FOR YOU. Hope you get to meet some of the Koreanovela stars. Hehe.
Enjoy!

I will start my summer by going to Baguio. So that I won't feel the summer heat even for a few days even if I am walking down the street on a sunny day. Then we will go to the south and hit the beach and island hop. Hopefully with this plan, we can survive the summer heat. hehehe...

Wow, I missed that place, Baguio. I studied my college degree there and I really love staying in Baguio. It has a lovely climate indeed to be called the “summer capital of the Philippines”. I’m saving money little by little now so I can go there next year for the Panagbenga Festival. Hope I can save some good amount enough to stay there for 2-3 days. Hope you enjoy your Baguio getaway!
Have a nice day ahead!

Haven't been planning anything for the summer. But after reading your post, I am thinking of planning one. But in a few days, some of my friends and I are going to Baguio for a much needed R & R from work. We'll be spending a few days there. But after that, I have nothing lined up yet. You just gave me an idea to plan my summer. Haven't used all of my VL credits from work.
I think I'll come up with something by April. If my plans push through for May or June, my entire year is set for my vacation.

Wow, another trip to Baguio. The previous mylotter’s response is planning to go there too. Oh, I so miss that place. I envy you if you have separate VL at work for we don’t have one. We only have incentive leaves but we normally use that for leaves prior to holidays. I also want to have a vacation every month but it will affect my evaluation at the end of the year for having too much absences. Is it your first time to go there in Baguio? Or you have been there few times already? I really enjoyed staying there for 5 years during my college days. I love that place.
Have a nice day ahead!

hi adnileb It sounds lovely and I enjoy hearing others taking summer vacations. I am too old and too broke to do more than maybe spend five dollars and fifty cents to go down to the beach six miles from here and spend a few hours wandering on the beach then stopping in Charley's Chili for the best chili in the world, thats Newport Beach in Southern California by the way.Charlie's chili is a small old historical cafe on the beach near the fresh fish place where they go out into the pacific to bring in fresh fish all day
and sell at really good prices and its fresh right out of the ocean.senior mo ment cannot remember their cute name think its the Dory but am not sure anyway one sees it when you go to Charle's chili.

Sounds yummy, ms. Hatley!
I love seafoods especially shrimps and crabs. We have a lot of crabs to buy in our hometown but maybe they're not as fresh as those in charlie's. Maybe don't think too much of your age and take a little while to enjoy going to the beach. They're healthy habits for everyone.

Hi adnileb
An opportunity to spend! Whoa!
This summer, though nothing new, but a long list is already done! we will be going for my annual health checkups and waste some good money that my wife has been saving! - waste as I will not get more benefits just a lengthy list of Medicines and Diets - most of which I already am aware of. The only new thing will be those sheets of pages which will contain reports... If they dont have mention of Cancer on them... it is the same old stuff and if it has means much more spendings and grief - my wife will be really sad.
Apart from that, we have to relocate and this time it is to another city. God, I have already grown tired of shifting within the town and this time it is a distant place for us.
Then if we have some more money left... Of course, there are plans to visit my home town or even my inlaws place. I havent been there since years now though I am still uninvited at my inlaws but I think I should keep going to their place.
And last but not the least... there are some movies on my watch-list. If they release them during summers, I am in for some of them at least - again some unwanted expense here as the prices are quite high and most of the times, I feel it was a waste after I have seen the movie

**fingers crossed for your medical reports**
Hope to hear something good after your check-up.
Oh, relocating is so much tiring. Been to that since I was a kid and got used to it. We relocated 8 times and can't imagine how many and far was the first one.
As per watching movie, ever since we had an internet connection, we never watched a movie anymore. We are downloading them instead. Saves not that much money but will surely help.
