Why do lifeforms want to live?

Even if they reproduce, they themselves are doomed to to die.
Why do so many of us seek extend our lives if possible?

I do not know how to contact you on the job but when I try to open it says no file found and its a jpg. I only added a box for zip so don't know if thats why or not, its the spinning job from thehustler.

It is in our DNA.
All we do in our lifes is linked to perpetuating the species.
We learn at school, so we can get a good job, so we can earn money. If we have money we can afford to build a family, and have children.
All life we are strugling to live and have descendents.
After they are well on their way in having their offspring, we can die happily.
