Sehwag was Rested(from Asia cup squad) due to his request, not Dropped..

Virender Sehwag explained to the media that he was rested based on his request to the chief selector and he was not dropped.
He said that he have back spasms, and he need rest.
And he added that he has been always open in case of injuries.he has never hidden his injuries.
But the rumor is that he has been dropped due to his poor form in Australian tour and the cold war between Dhoni..
So What do you think, was viru rested based on his request or dropped??

I still think he has been dropped ,since all this news came into media BCCI must have asked Sehwag to make a statement which ends the debate for now.My best guess is that Sehwag will be important part of test team but till Dhoni is captain he may not get many chances in ODIs.Its very much possible that BCCI makes two different teams for limited overs and test format,seniors can be restricted to tests while youngsters backed by Dhoni will play in ODIs and T20s.

By entirely two different teams i meant that ,two teams with different priorities and different strategies.Right now Indian players play test as if its a limited overs match, field placings,batting style ,bowling everything resembles a temperament of an ODI team.If someone who gives priority to tests will be captain then we will see a team with entirely new approach.Under Dhoni test team has become a joke to be honest.

I think it was sewag decide because he know lots of Young competition in our team so that reason make him to take this decission Because of his Experience in the Cricket Life.

I think that he is dropped of the squad not rested. He has committed same mistakes again and again in the Australian tour whether it is a test match or a one-day. Selectors can not neglect these mistakes at the cost of losing Asia cup. The cold war between Dhoni and Sehwag can also be reason. Well, We don't know what politics is being played there.
