I was watching this show about the universe.
They said that there is a small chance that there is a planet similar to ours that also has life, maybe in other galaxies. It might be very far from us but it would be great to know that we are not alone in this universe. Well, unless they mean harm.
I think that it would be a great discovery for humans to find earth like planets.
Just think, a whole new world with life and different languages and stuff. It's just awesome. :D

Yes. First thing we will do is that we will try to send messages to them in the form on radio signals!!! they will respond like that too.then we need to put them to a translator machine.they will convert the signal to English Language.this can be used if we don't understand the language.i think they will be evil. when they find about us they will try to come here and invade us!!

It would be extremely fascinating to say the very least and rather extremely scary in another way. To have any other race kind of like humanity to say the very least, with an Earth like planet. Of course, it would be interesting to find an alternate world where it was just like us, but not really like us at all. It would be among one of the most fascinating discoveries that would could ever make.
It would be fascinating in many ways to say the very least. Perhaps a bit weird. I do wonder if they would be a peaceful race or far too much like humans for my liking. And if they are like us, but with different languages, then I would be very fair. If they were a bit different, then how long would it take to corrupt them. Of course they might not happen, but you just never know.

I hope we will not be able to find one. Well for one thing, we will most likely find a way to go there and once we are there, we will destroy it slowly like what we are doing with earth. We have cut down trees, created pollution, depleted the natural resources and worst, we continue to do so despite the warnings. One day time will come that we will no longer have air to breath. I hope that if we ever find one, we will learn to take care of it and nurture it instead of turn it into the earth we have today.

Chance we will be more intrigued when we discover new planets much like our Earth. There is a great chance that there could be more Earth-like planets existing in our universe and we all know that the universe consists of so many different galaxies. We will be more interested in knowing what life could be like in those planets that we discover. I think it would be fascinating to learn more about that planet, how those beings in it live, or could compared to how we live on earth. Interesting indeed and be quite a great adventure for us humans, if ever we could device a faster way to get to these planets. In the near future these things might become reality and we may never be here anymore to witness it.

Yes, it's really awesome. But now we have not enough development to reach that, but future our Generation will build some thing it must need and must happen because of our world Population Growth and Technology Development.

I think it is still a good news. At least we have a backup earth and some of us can move to the new planet. As there are more and more people in the earth. One day it will run out the energy of the earth. But how to go to the new planet is a big problem.

Chances are few planets in our universe having similarity like our earth had been discovered by scientists by now, they are still under research radar until it is sure no one else is living in them, then only good human being can migrate to one of these new discovery. If any earth like planet is discovered by the Russian or Chinese, then they may end up as part of the colony of the Communist Empire other than just Cuba; Vietnam or Tibet.

The chances aren't really small... there's this fun thing called the Drake equation, here's a site where you can punch in the numbers you think work the best;

Bad thing is, if we discover a planet that's like ours, and it just happens to have intelligent life on it, with our technology of today, there is no way we can get to it.
If the span of years work in the same way as they have in the past, then it would take 200-400 years to go from discovery, to colonization of new lands, seemingly impossible from the start. This means, that it'll be something like 2150, by the time we settle the moon, and maybe even other planets, like Mars or Venus, or moons around the gas giants...
Going by that, though, it would take until around 2800-3000, before we can get out of the solar system... maybe by then, it will be possible for us to travel way faster then we can, now....
But, if we think of using gravity like a slingshot to get to another star, it would take somewhere around 20,000 years for us to get from here, to another star.. that's if we're going around 240,000 km/hr, like some of our satellites do. A faster way, would be to keep throwing atomic bombs behind us, and travel on the propulsion they make, we might get there in about 100 years... which would mean that we wouldn't get there... and chances are, neither would our children, who were born on the ship... but it would be our grandchildren, and great grandchildren who actually get there... and who knows what they'd be like, by then...

There are millions of galaxies in this universe, but no one is really sure if there is life in each. In our galaxy, we take million years to reach other planets in the same galaxies, while as we know our age is just hundred years at the maximum. I don't know if this mentioned in a bible but in Holy Quran, there are many verses telling about the creation of the universe and why the universe has been created.

Hi there silence,
Happy lotting, anyway in my opinion that would be awesome seeing another world that has life in it would be really great to know that we are not alone in the universe. Just one thing i am afraid of, what if they can see us too and that while viewing there planet we see that there prepairing to got to war and is tagging everybody along to inhabit another world,. ehemmm as in like ours. That would be really scary.

if this would happened by the chance then every country want to go at there and try to take more land and a race will start among many developed country to take this planets.and many of billionaires will wish to go to that planet for trip.and i will also interested in it.but this planet has to be near to earth so that we can easily go to it other wise it will be worthless for us.

maybe it is awesome but in other ways is is not a good news. it is good to have that type of planet like ours however we must think that if this exists means aliens really exists. what i mean for aliens are strangers, not the usual UFO, or ET, or whatsoever, however, we can not call them still as a human. it is good to have science and technology so that we could all know this things. alien invasion? maybe it could occur. LOL

if they found a planet like earth, populated, i will have only 1 question. What would there women look like :D do they have the same standards of beauty as we do, maybe over there big brest 90-60-90 women would be considered the ugly ones.
Seriously now, as some1 before me said, we will surely go in war with them cause that`s the nature of us. Look at our history, whenever europeans discovered a land they killed and robbed and enslaved all the population and only thought about financial benefits. So we gonna kill them all (ofc if they aren`t more advanced than us technologically) and after killing them all we start searching for gold and petrol and other thinks so the great big corporations get more and more richer.
