I would really appreciate it if meat eaters did not give vegetarians a hard time. I do not critisize others for what they eat. You eat what ever you want, it's not my business so plaese respect the fact that I choose not to eat meat.
And by the way chicken does not grow on a plant or tree, it is meat.

It's okay to eat meat but not too much I suggest. Fish is more recommended. Take a look at Japanese people. Most of them eat fish, and they live a healthy life. This doesn't mean that I hate meat. No. I sometimes eat it, too.

I was curious about your post. I actually haven't encountered people criticizing vegetarians. On the contrary, those who eat meat have always taken the flak. Some are even disgusted with the type of meat they consume. Some condemn them for being cruel to animals. Others tell them that meat gives a foul smell. And these are the nicer comments. Maybe it depends on which part of the world we live in since I've never really heard about this.

I have been called crazy
I have had people ask what is wrong with me
My parenting has been critisized even though my kids eat meat (I do not push my opnions on them)
I hae been told it's okay to eat chicken because it is not an animal
I have been told "but plants are alive and they have to kill the plant so you can eat fruit or vegetable (which is not corrrect)
I have been told that vegetarians are never healthy because humans NEED meat to live
I have been told if everyone was like me millions of people would lose their jobs ( I don't expect anyone to think like me)
I have been told I have IBS becasue I do not eat meat
I have been called a hypocrite becasue my cat's food contains meat
I have been told I am WRONG for choosing not to eat meat
I could go on and on
I get ALOT of critisizng

I feel your pain totally! I am a vegetarian and have been for 14 years and once people find out that about me, they want to poke and prod about all the different reasons that I am, and then give me a hard time about it. This is why I usually don't tell anyone I am vegetarian - but they usually find out if they work with me or spend enough time with me, eventually they figure it out. It also works in the reverse though. Some vegetarians are ALL over giving meat-eaters a hard time, and that is ridiculous too. People will do what they want to do, I guess.
