Do you have Broadband? Commonly, cable networks get lagged up a bit during peak hours. This will not happen with DSL/Fiber services, however DSL can be slower. It can be tough to do much about this, but there are a few things I can suggest.
- Reboot your router when it starts to slow down. You want to unplug it for a full 2 minutes, and let it cool down a bit too. It doesn't hurt to unplug it every once in a while for a few hours.
- Wire in your devices. One issue may be signals interfering with your WiFi. 4G phones, cordless phones, metal in your walls, nearby power stations/cell towers, and even your neighbor's WiFi can affect yours. In addition to wiring in devices, try this next trick:
- For wireless connections, try this fun trick. If you have an Android/iPhone, download "WiFi Analyzer". This app will allow you to examine other nearby wireless networks and signals, and see which wireless channel give you the best results.
I hope this all helps!

maybe by this time, the network traffic in your area is heavy, which mean, many computer users in your place user the Internet at that time. try to contact your service provider if this is not applicable as a reason. however that is the only reason i think if there is only a certain time that your INTERNET connection is slow. sometimes, having a slow connection actually depend on your location, for example if you subscribe to a connection which is 2mbps, it actually denotes the maximum speed it can have not the normal speed that your connection will have.

i think you are also from india. As in india. All people start working internet specially on 4-6 pm only. As it is a time for using internet by students, public and everyone. So, our internet speeds gets slow due to heavy load. try using midnight or morning. it will give better speed.

I think internet is slow at 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. because most people use internet at this time. Also I think the traffic of the websites might be high during this time. I think when the traffic is high the internet will be slow. Also I think when lots of users login at a particular time the internet becomes slow.

If there are a lot of users on the internet at one time it can make it slow down depending on what site you are on. Some sites are so slow at times that I just cant even go on them until later because I cant get anything done. I have cable internet. It was even worse when I had dial up.

that is weird because me and my husband were just talking about that the other day. i thought that for some reason we could not b on 2 computers which is weird since we have wi fi and that should not be a problem. it ia actually about 5:00 until about 9:00 and even when he gets off his computer it doesnt sem to work better. sometimes i even have to leave the room to make it work a tiny bit better.

I think it may be the time most people are online in the internet or when the internet users use the websites or in other words when the traffic is high for a particular websites. When the traffic is high the internet can be slow. I think you should try to check speed of the internet at different times and may be talk with your provider, which might help in identifying the problem with the internet speed.
