I know working at McDonalds or some other place may sound a bit funny but I would like to try. I have absolutely no idea how to write a resume and I'm not sure what to expect. So any mylotters have worked at McDonalds in their life. All I heard is that when your cooking and if you get burned they don't really care that much. ANyone has every juggled studying and work is it possible to do both or just focus on one?

McDonalds is a very good stepping stone for working in other places, they have a very good structure program in learning the ropes for working in the real world. I have worked at McDonalds I was a cashier. Any of my friends that worked on the grill didn't get burnt you just have to be careful as you are working on large grills very different from working on your stove at home.
Many people have a job and also do studies, it takes a dedicated person to know where your priorities are. Sometimes your social life will take a back seat to your studies and job.

Last year I filled a form and few months later they called me from McDonald's to work there. I went to the interview and I was about to be hired but they told me that I had to cut my hair (I had a very long hair, now I don't)... I said NO since it was not worth it to cut it to work at McDonalds. The same day I had another job interview and I was hired by a car companny to be a sales agent. Luckily I didn't join the "crew" at McDonalds

Well, it depends on what department are you going to apply for. I have never applied for a postion at McDonalds. If you think you have what it takes there like you have the ability to cook or deal with food service, McDonald is a good choice. But if you have no specialisation, you'd be better off finding other places.

Before I got married I worked and went to school I worked on campus in the humanities and fine arts office as an office worker. I had also worked at a Honeybaked Ham store where I took orders before Thanksgiving and also during Christmas. After I was married I was able to focus on my studies because my husband worked. Now I am almost done with my Master's Degree and will be working towards my second Masters degree. It is possible to do both, but make sure your job will work around your school hours.

It is possible to do both. I was a working student before but the only difference is that I was working in the school itself. But I was having some classmates before who were working at fast food chains and studying too. They have graduates. I guess it just depends on how you manage your time and you have to really think whether you can still study even when you are working.

there are so many great resumes samples on the net, all you have to do is search for them.
all you need to do is put your experience (past jobs you have had) or if you havent had any, you could just list your personal traits. most of these places (fast foods) will have job applications that you can fill out anyways.

Juggling those two is very hard, welcome deaming wolf to mylot,
I think it is very hard but also very doable, mys sister and cousins did it and they also worked for a fast food chain, but i would suggest if you do have internet just work at home and get paid sitting in front of your computer, it's better and less stressful for you aight.

When I was studying, I worked at a telemarketing company and so never had experience of working at mcdonalds or other fast foo restaurants. However, a few of my friends worked there and they thought it was an okay job. As for writing a resume, you can search online for tips and advice as well as examples of resume. Good luck with job hunting...
