Spring is here finally. The sun is shining, and it's getting nice warm outside. It makes me feel happy, I was born in August, and I love spring and summer - our climate is continental.
In the winters I'm rather depressed and don't feel like going anywhere, I would rather hibernate for a few months if I could.
I know some people who were born in the winter and enjoy being outside when it's cold, they can tolerate low temperatures very well, but hate summer.
We live in different parts of the world with different climates, but I wonder if there is a relation between the season of birth and the weather we prefer.
Do you like the season you were born in, or tolerate it better than other seasons?

I live in a tropical country and my birthday falls in what we call our rainy season. In my lifetime, I have had only around five or less sunny birthdays. The month that I was born in also brings in the start of storms in my country and I recall that I had a birthday party when I was nine years old and that no one came because a very strong storm was brewing outside. I rather like this, because up to now I don't celebrate my birthday and the strong rains gives me reason enough not to invite people because I know that it will be a hassle for them trying to get to my place when it's rainy.

I wish we had winter here, though we only have 2 kind of season summer and rainy. I was born January it is more cold but not winter. They said in the article that I read During January, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted away from the Sun. This causes the Sun's rays to hit that part of the Earth at a slant. Slanted rays do not produce as much heat as direct rays. After that summer is heading it will last up to end of June. Now it's summer here that's why it's very hot can't resist the hot weather outside it make me sick.

Interesting thought that I had never considered. I was born in August, too, and definitely prefer spring, summer, and fall, though I appreciate winter and it's not so bad to be out as long as I'm dressed for it. I'd much rather be out in hot weather than cold, though that's easy to say since I'm quite spoiled with having air conditioning to move into when it's just too hot outside. Happy Spring!

I was born in may so I love the summer and warm weather. I'm more active around that time of year. During the winter I hate the cold and don't go out as much i pretty much just like to stay in.

Hi almond...
you are right. I born in December and it is wholly winter season and i can tackle myself in winter but never in summer. I sweat a lot even i cant wear shoe as my socks get wet completely. It is very hard to me to maintain myself in summer.
have a nice time.

Hi Hestylim! You have two seasons, so it seems like we couldn't find the equivalent to 4-seasons countries. What I thought about was how is the weather like around that time of the year.
I'm not sure, is October the end of the dry season, or somewhere between the dry and wet season?

I thought it was interesting that the season you were born in might effect how you tolerate cold or warm temperatures. I never thought of that before. I was born in winter and I don't mind the snow and cold, it's just the cold winds that really bother me. I like summer too but not when it gets very hot then I seek to stay in somewhere cool or air- conditioned. It's interesting to think about how your birth time of year effects you. Good discussion, thanks!!

It's interesting to hear that you were born in the winter and tolerate cold well. Sounds like a big advantage - I guess you have very harsh and cold winters!
I know many people who were born in the winter, and though it's not their favorite season, they are able adapt to the cold much better than me for example.

i was born on april 3 --- thats spring
i have never really thought of this this way but it is a great way of thinking. when i was a kid i loved it because every few years it was on Easter :)
i do love the spring. its not to hot and its not to cold but i wouldnt say its my favorite because i love the snow also (not that we had a winter this year and we rarely get snow) and the summer is ok just it gets a little to hot for me and i get headaches very badly.

I love spring too! So I guess you were counting if your next birthday would fall on the days of Easter when you were a kid
It's great that you can find the positive side of every season! It's bad though that you get headaches, I get them too when the first hot days of the year arrive. Drinking plenty of water usually helps a little bit.
