Hi SR
In these days kids are operating computer great efficiently than the elders and without joining any course. So its surely not necessary to join any course for learning computer.
Its all about interest. And this generation is surely having it. So I think any person kids and elder can learn computer by them self.

But here are we talking about normal and basics stuff like listening music and some more..
I don't think people needs certificate for this things... Yes someone can ask certificates about courses like MS office but that is even too less cases now as every one can learn it by their self..
Here SR have just mentioned about gaming , hearing music and other entertaining stuff so no need courses for such things.

You are right oliva only wathcing the movie and playing the games but I am telling about these basic knowledge. I know if more knowledge in particular topic like Oracle, DTP, Tally then course is necessary.

It could be an advantage if you really want to know more about computers. If you are an office worker, it could be a plus for you especially if it's a necessity in order to do your job efficiently.
But if you just want to know the basic operation of a computer, you can search for a site that offers tutoring for free. Anyway, how to operate a computer is really easy if you have the passion, you can learn by yourself by visiting some sites.

Yes, if you want to be more knowledgeable about computers or specialize on this field, I guess you have to enroll in a course you have preferred to learn. Learning too is a continuous process so aside from what you have learned in school, you may do some research too, to know more.

It is depended on ability, but i think joining a course in not necessary to learn anything.if we use proper method and enough work it's just simple to learn as we want even it is simple computer program or higher level programming language.

Not necessary to join course for learn computer for your daily use. Only need one computer and some time to spent on it. But yes many of the feature we cant come to know after using it, and by course you can learn every feature of the perticular course you done. So it depends on your requirement, again I say for normal user no course are required to operate computer.

No it is not necessary to join the course for learning computers skills, i think the freedom to learn what you want, when you want, absolutely free. you can also learn computers from http://www.homeandlearn.co.uk here all the courses are aimed at complete beginners, so you don't need any experience to get started.

I wondering about this as there are still courses to learn MS Office which is easily known once we start to operate the computer, my daughter is in 1st standard and she knows a lot that is taught in that course, so i dont think there is a need to learn the basics of computer unless any certificate of that sort is badly needed for job interviews

I think that it depends on what you are going to do with the computer, and how deep you want to get into the knowledge of it and it´s components. Maybe for learning how to use the computer, and some programs, it is not necessary to have any formal education, and, besides, there are fantastic free learning programs in the web itself, but, if you want to learn to programm it is necessary to join a course.

Though when I was in school I had some opportunity to learn about computers from my school classes, I didn't learn everything that I know about computers from the courses that I had in school, much of what I know about computers are things that I was able to teach myself.
It is for that reason that I don't think that it is necessary to spend money on computer courses so that people are able to learn to use the computer.

Hello Surekha, its depends on the situation. If in family other person are using computer than other members including children learn itself. But playing games and watching movies are simplest task of computer. If some one wants to learn MS word, page maker, telly or busy that he/she must join coaching.

It depends on what the computer is used for.Personally, there is no need for me to pay for learning it.I have been retired ,all I use it for doing is surfing Internet. However,if you are at work and you mainly use the computer for finishing your work, then you ought to learn it further .

Just because one knows how to use the computer doesn't mean they're really knowledgeable about it. They know how to use the computer, they know how to navigate the basic, but it doesn't mean they learned enough. There's still a lot of information to be learned and be absorbed.
My brother is a computer addict. In our family he's the one who was so into computer, now he is taking an Information Technology degree. It is related into the computer, but still what he learned when he was young is still not enough.
