What would hurt you more?

I'm with you. I had a very dear friend die of cancer 14 years ago, it STILL breaks my heart that it happened and I miss her.

I am into having cancer with 6 weeks to live because at least I still have time to say goodbye with all people I love. Rather that seeing my love of my life being hit by an accident which indeed he wasn't able to say goodbye.

I'd rather be the one to die than see the one I love die before my eyes. I'll take the 6 weeks left to live over watching the love of my life get hit by a car.

Wow! That is pretty depressing indeed. I would rather get the phone call than have my meger family get hurt. For sure. Since I only have three family members left it would be even worse than normal to have this happen.

Like you, I;d rather give up my life than seeing someone I love die :( And I'd rather have cancer myself than seeing the one I love die like that. I would rather be in their places and I seriously mean this. I mean life without them would be 10 times more miserable i know :(

I personally think that i can handle myself if a doctor tell me that i got some desease that will kill me in a short time. But i will never get over a similar thing to happen to my girl, she`s so fragile and don`t deserve to get trough such pain, i rather die than seeing her dieng next to me

I don't have to worry about that....I don't have the love of my life yet.....60 and still waiting but if I did I would rather get the bad news then lose someone I love.

Hi LovingMyBabies Why only seeing the love of my life getting hit and dying... I cannot stand seeing anyone die. I have seen many die and every time I have wept and shed tears. The pain to see anyone die is just not going to die easily. On the other hand... I have been living with illness since 2005(it was then when it was diagnosed, though I have been with it since 2000). Docs have told me and also I read on the Internet that one fine day, this illness is surely going to be cancerous and I will die of cancer. So I have kind of groomed myself for the day when this news gets broken to me. Made my life somewhat easier. So it is something that I am prepared. Unfortunately the deaths that we get to see many a times we arent prepared for those and this unpreparedness makes us feel more insecure, sick and miserable.

It would be very hard to choose, if possible. Nothing can be more shocking than losing a loved one to an accident... even if they suffer less, it's an unbelievable pain. Dieing from cancer is very painful and constant suffering... I didn't lose anyone to it, but saw someone dieing from it, and it's terrible to watch. On the other hand, if it was me who was dieing, I know I would feel awful if my loved ones avoided me. It's very tough.

Hii lovingmybabies... aww it's hard to choose. I don't like them, but if I have to choose one I'd take the last one. Yeah, I can't stand seeing my love diying in front of me but more bad if I can't see them for the last time.

True what a very sad thought to end the day. Anyways for me i think it would bring me more pain seeing my love one clinging for hid/her life. Accidents for me is never a good thing to die. Because you will not be ready to leave your love ones and so are they. Dying of cancer is much more tolerable because it will give you and your family to grieve together.

I would prefer myself dying if a loved one had to die slowly. It always depends on the person, LovingMyBabies. But, your love may be as sad as you if you saw them getting hit by a car. But, I see no reason visualising such situations. Try to avoid this and instead, enjoy every moment with your love. Live life to the full and never look back! Hope this helps :)

Im not real sure what i would rather have. I have watched family die slowly from cancer and just lay there and suffer till the end and that hurt me really bad. I have never had to see any loved ones getting hit or hurt anyother way thank the lord. I would have to say that i would rather die then to see a loved one get hit by a car and die i would much rather take there pain away along with there place i hate seeing people suffer!

Sorry to hear that,I can really feel that you are depressed.I cant imagine that kind of situation .It is so heavy for our heart if its happen.We need to be strong and pray to God to survive.Prayers is best way to ease the pain.

Both would hurt deeply. And they both court hurt you and your loved one as well. It would be a lose lose situation. There would be no winners.

That's hard to answer as I would want my love to be here as long as they could but if your given so long to live what kind of life are you really having knowing that your days are limited and quite possibly full of pain. On the other hand if it was a car accident and the injuries were life threatening and no chance of leading a normal life, free of pain then I would want them to go quickly without any pain.
